I am pretty sure JK will move to keep the backline the same now that Yedlin is back but here is a lineup I would like to see

Zardes

Dempsey

Fabian Zusi

Nagbe
Bradley

Besler--Brooks---Cameron---Yedlin

If we need offense move Fabian back to LB bring on Pulsic

If we need defense take out Nagbe bring in Kitchen.

I love Beckerman but he is losing a step, kitchen is faster and has good skill plus he needs exp.

Also and I can't believe I would say this if we need offense take off Zardes and bring on Wondo, it would have been nice to have Morris as an option

If the appeal works for Bobby that would be huge for us.

@know nothing
I get your point. And if this was the beginning of the tournament or we just needed a point or something I'd probably be on board. But if my players are riding a high of achieving our goal set to the media and you just came off a great environment like that, I would let the bet ride for another hand. Especially against Messi. Now if you want to talk tactics with your line up..
1)beckerman is too slow with the quick movement even if you wanted to clog space. What's the point?
2)nagbe's defensive work rate is very underrated. Which means he won't be much of an outlet. He would come back to defend which leaves on Dempsey and Zardes as our outlets. One doesn't like to hold the ball up very much and the other has a terrible first touch. Don't see us having any outlet coming from the back and we have the USA Mexico match all over again,
3) you are moving brooks away from the middle! Why?! He has shown that he needs to be centrally in defense. He and Cameron have a wonderful connection and can pass the ball wonderfully from the back. By moving him a tad left or right, it limits the amount of passing options he and Cameron can hit going forward. They this will open brooks up Cameron will sit farther back which then means Bradley comes down. Bradley is finally having the confidence in his defenders to move his play forward than ALWAYS taking the ball from the CB role.

I understand the reactive move, but in my opinion it hurts more than helps.

Venezuela have looked great the past few minutes but that penalty was horrible.

Argentina leaves huge gaps, Nagbe, Zardes and Dempsey are licking their chops. More than ever I am convinced of our need to have Fabian Johnson in the attack. Let him exploit that room all the Argentinian attackers leave behind, plus with him in the attack we have more defense capable players on the field. Besler and Yedlin my outside backs.

I really hope that Messi scores a second tonight so we dont have to hear about him breaking the goal scoring record The entire game against us.

Mexico just said they change their line-up depending on the opposition.....

How come Klinsmann doesn't understand that ?????

Were going to lose if he starts Beckerman/Zusi instead of Pulisic/Nagbe

getting back Bobby Wood would be huge...... I also wish we would've seen a Jones/Nagbe combo in the midfield during the friendlies (with bradley on the bench).

Hmm. I have see you argue Klinsmann doesn't stick to a formation and lineup in a the past. And look at Mexico getting dominated by Chile.

Lost in the stupid argument is the fact that for the second game in a row, Jürgen will have the change his lineup. It was a talking point before the copa started and here we are, with the Argentina game to come, without 3 of our first choice 11. The fact the game goes straight to pks after 90' should not be lost on anyone. I could very easily see a workman-like 1-1 being a pre game goal and take our chances in a shootout....

I think there's a snowflakes chance in hell that we keep a clean sheet against Argentina. But can you imagine how high John Brooks' stock would be if we did? Hertha would certainly be wise to listen to any offers, as his price might never be higher.
