Wow. Who could see that coming. Beckerman loses his man and we give up a goal. Good thing we have no offensively talented players in their. It's gonna be a long night.

How do you put in a defensive line-up and get scored on in 3 minutes?

This is just a retrograde lineup, it's neither attack nor defend.

I have no problem playing defensive. Whay I dont want to see is Beckerman and Zusi in there with Bradley moved up. Its more than obvious that we've played better with Bradley as the deepest midfielder. Its also more than obvious that Beckerman is a slow turn who just fouls guys to stop attacks. That style will bite us hard against Argentina. If Beckerman starts I guarentee they score an early goal that is traced back to him. Im ok with Zusi starting but if he and Bradley are your creative midfielders we're in for a long night. I see it as one of those there's defensive changes that can/should be made, probably 3-4 things that can be done to sit back more. I dont want us to do all of them, just 1-2 of them.

Really. Who couldn't see this coming...

So Juergen hangs posters in the locker room to motivate the team to take it to them early and then fields a lineup that is set up for the exact opposite?

That's EXACTLY what I heard there.

Thanks, Jenny Taft.
