Here is a good argument.

Orozco - Cameron - Brooks have played almost 45' so far this summer together and not given up a goal.

Which competition may I ask?

hmm That's a decent argument. I would have liked more than 45 minutes.. Don't think Orozco is a total liability. I would limit his instruction set to strictly be a defender, don't worry about joining attack. Keep Montero in front of you at all times, deny the cross, deny deny deny

Yep. Only get in the attack on set Pieces and if we are down a goal.

Personally it's the best option we have. Be a HUGE risk to break up Cameron and Brooks combo. HUGE risk.

Orozco for Yedlin is really the only change I would make.

You want Orozco (traditionally a CB) trying to defend Montero for 90 mins?? During the friendly, Yedlin had a bit of trouble keeping up with the speedster. The only way we beat Ecuador is by limiting and nullifying their extremely dangerous wing play. Montero on one side and Antonio Valencia on the other. Yedlin's red card was seriously the worst send off we could have had going into this game.

Nah brosky, BRooks being sent off would have been debilitating.

Orozco is lesser than Yedlin, I think, in terms of defending. What's going to have to happen is Bradley and Cameron (RCB) will have to throw shade on that side and Fabian will be given access to live in the attacking third... well at his peril.

Fabian can track back, even though in all honesty, he's been caught out of position as well. It's all theoretical here, and whimsical, but to your first point, I earnestly believe that Brooks being carded would have been fatal.

As the only Orozco fan on the board -- @rey: Yedlin is never a better defender than Orozco. A better overall player sure, but not a better defender than Orozco. The more I think about the game, the more I'd like to see Fabian Johnson pushed into the attack.

Fabian - Dempsey - Zardes
--- Jones -- Bedoya ----
------ Bradley -----
Besler - Brooks - Cameron - Orozco

I'm a HUGE Yedlin fan and not an Orozco fan. It is definitely not a given that Yedlin is better defensively. Orozco will be fine dealing with the speed if we don't employ him to high up. With Fabian wanting to get into the attack and Valencia on that side, it's likely that Brooks won't be able to press high either.

Let Orozco, Cameron, and Brooks sit back when we go on the attack. Let Fabian rampage forward with Bradley occupying the space as the DM. Jones can slide over (this is during an attack) and Bedoya too.

I will absolutely NOT put Orozco there without Zardes being on the same side of the field too. Need his speed and work rate and willingness to help out in the defensive third. He will be key in this game.

Hasn't zusi played RB before I think JK played him there a few times.

This might be the first thing you said that actually makes sense. Even though it is risky because of the situation, I like the idea.

We started out as adversaries.

Now, we share a common state of mind.

I like it.
