I'm really scared of Orozoco and I'm sure he'll be the one starting... there's a reason he never plays for his club team but Klinsy don't care...

Montero really scary...

I'm really happy USA won the group not because of who they are playing but because they are playing in Seattle, there aren't too many places the USA would have more fan presence than in Seattle.

Bobby Wood is a beast and I expect another big game from him up top, I still can't believe Jordan Morris isn't an option off the bench...

Seattle is USA home for me. They deserve to have a national stadium there. (i'm nj/ny area)

Besler in at CB and shift Cameron over to the right? I guess playing guys in multiple positions pays off.

True.. we could have brought in a backup RB ... esp after that guy got injured.

Normally I'd be all for bringing in Birnbaum/Besler and shifting Cameron to the Right Back spot. Besler and Birnbaum are both better options than Orozco and Castillo.

But as good as Cameron and Brooks are playing together in the middle I just can't see us breaking it up, nor would I think it would be a good idea.

Against Bolivia we started Orozco, Cameron, Brooks, Besler. Yedlin and Fabian Johnson came on in the 2nd half.
When Yedlin got sent off Orozco came in at RB.

I think Orozco is the obvious and smart choice (as much as it pains me to say).

Brooks and Cameron have now played 360' minutes without giving up a goal from open play. (1 PK and 1 Corner are only goals).

That's against some world class strikers. I don't think we have EVER had a run like that.

Can't stress it enough, we CAN'T break that combo up.

Playing Cameron at RB against Montero is a yellow card suspension waiting to happen. My preference would be for FJ to move to RB and Besler to play LB. I would also put a surprise into the lineup...Pulisic for Zardes

I understand this reasoning, but we trust Fab on the left and Geoff on the right. Geoff plays and has played against Jefferson in the premier league. Any Yellow card would be a consequence of him not being ready for his style, or our system collectively farting and isolating Geoff on the flanks. Right?

I mean upsetting on partnership is a risk, but moving more than 1 piece to compensate?

Again just respectful, "I see this differently, anyone give me a angle to see it your way"

I think is best to put Fab at RB and Castillo at LB need to have guys that are comfortable in certain positions. I mean castillo played great at LB this season and played with and against many Ecuadorian players so he is familiar with some of them.

That is a viable argument. Was it just Yedlin's emergence that allowed Fabian to be moved back to left back?

Here is a good argument.

Orozco - Cameron - Brooks have played almost 45' so far this summer together and not given up a goal.

Hmmm...using that logic Birnbaum and Brooks played almost 90 minutes together this summer without conceding to Ecuador.

Sure but Cameron and Brooks have played about 360' without giving up a goal from open play...

No way Klinsy changes Brooks-Cameron. My guess is he'll just slot Orozco Fizcal in there at RB but I would prefer to see Fabian moved to RB and Besler in at LB...

boy our outside backs are terrible... seems like a coach may want more options back there when constructing a roster... like maybe Eric Lichaj...

It's not so much that our outside backs are terrible it's just that it's our weakest spot from a depth perspective. Fab and yedlin are two of our top 3-4 players in our whole 23 man roster. It's just that orozco and beaker are 3-4 of our worst.

I'm starting to think that if someone suggests Horvath at LB and Nagbe in place of Bedoya.. I'd be cool with it.
