USA can beat Argentina if we had Jones, Wood, and Bedoya. Not beautifully but USA can still win. The crowd could also be many Mexicans cheering on Argentina. I think we can pull the upset. Credit to JK for doing what he had to do all along. Play Bradley in his preferred position and giving reps to two CBs. Jones, pathetic. The really only bad thing were the subs. Jk took for ever. Deuce for you guys.

And Fabjo shut me up Montero down. Wow! Way to go USA. Great job JK. Getting the fans involved. Jumping on the Besler action. That's a coach.

I think losing Bedoya & Jones and bringing Yedlin will make us more fearless and threatening in the attack. Too bad Wood did not make it but Jones and Bedoya have done their best for this tournament, time to insert some newer, fresher blood and see what they can do.

I have a feeling JK will still try to play as conservative as possible but I think this is the perfect chance to go for it and play Nagbe and Pulisic from the start.

Pulisic-Dempsey-Zardes

Nagbe

Bradley Beckerman

Besler-Brooks-Cameron-Johnson

Guzan

That's similar to what I want to see but I'd swap Zusi for Beckerman. I don't see what Beckerman gives us against the pace of Argentina unless we're up a goal and parking the bus. He was exploited by Jamaica in last year's gold cup.

I have this horrible feeling that Yedlin is going to start in the midfield.

No jones, bedoya, and no wood! Looks like we're gonna see Nagbe and Pulisic in the Semis.

I would like to see Beckerman tuck in behind Bradley and sit right in front of Brooks and Cameron and just stay there. Let Bradley and Nagbe do their thing in the attack.

I think he will use Zusi as a starter. Zardes doing what Wood does up top.

We gotta stop getting stupid getting reds. Why cant we finish a game with 11 ??? Its going to be interesting how we line up a semi final. I can imagine pulisic vs Argenina that would be cool

The last time we played a teenager against Messi and Argentina he (Agudelo) scored the equalizer and the game ended 1-1.

From a scheduling perspective. We have two extra days off than Argentina/Venezuela who will only have two days rest. That's both a huge advantage and horribly unfair.

I don't know about you but I made some noises breathing in those last 15 minutes that I have never heard before.

Yeah, haha, I hear you...and lots of flailing spastic appendages. Can't help myself, when they kick, I kick...my son laughs his ass off watching me watch a big soccer game.

That's exactly the line-up I would hope for.

I know skangles has doubts on Beckerman and him being able to cope with the pace of the game but he knows how to keep it simple and not go beyond his ability plus he is a veteran.

Man, Morris would be nice to have right now! Same sort of runs and and speed as Wood.
