Of course you would. He plays for the Galaxy.

Nope I would also take Morris over Jozy.

Everything the same except a
Jones--Zusi
--Bradley--
triangle in the middle of the field.

Or we could see a
Jones--Bradley
-Beckerman-
triangle as well. Paraguay has to attack us not the other way around

Current ticket sales for USA v Paraguay is at 45000. My guess it hits about 55,000 by Saturday. And it will be a huge pro American crowd.

They are predicting evening thunderstorms in Philly on Saturday. It might turn some fans away.

Pretty dissapointing the home team can't sell out with ease in such a huge tournament. Had it been Argentina, Mexico or Brazil with neymar they would of sold out days ago with thousands of people still demanding tickets. I was disappointed seeing soldier field it looked pretty empty while the rose bowl had double the fans that same night.

Well you do realize the USMNT fan base has grown quite large the past 10 years? Rome wasn't built in a day. We live in a country that really has never embraced the sport. It's going to take a few more generations for that to happen. It took Football roughly 50 years to really become what it is today.

I know this is a major tournament so they are going to capitalize on the potential money larger stadiums bring in but for WCQ, I don't mind us playing in smaller stadiums as long as they sell out and are pro-American crowds vs. larger stadiums in cities with large Hispanic populations.

Yeah but usa soccer attendance is up and down. Some days they have big crowds other times small crowds. That's how typical American fans are no matter what sport it is when their teams play bad fans don't show up. I mean I remember they sold out Lincoln financial field vs turkey I think before the WC but couldn't even fill out half of chester field vs Costa Rica in the gold cup. Also look at KC vs bolivia.

Oh...this is brutal. Zardes first touch compilation:

Hilarious. And he's such a nice guy. Young kid. Family man. You route for him so much, but you want him nowhere near your national team.

Cameron and Yedlin probably have as bad as a touch as him just that defenders don't get recognize as much... Just look at Yedlin's horrible touch vs costa rica and Cameron's vs Portugal it was his fault on both goals. That's why i think Besler should start with brooks.

As bad as this is, his speed does demand attention on the pitch and he does hustle. Thankfully, touch is something that can be taught.

Zardes reminds me of Jesper Gronkjaer, the Danish Winger, who was also fantastically infuriating to watch but was effective in his own way.

It can be taught up to like age 17 but not much after that.

I'm just glad that we're to the point now as a team that we can make fun of our own players. Because not too long ago (90's), we had guys in our starting lineup as poor technically as he is.

everything about this SCREAMS culture

technique, confidence, the fact that in his mind, if he ever gets into trouble, and his touch and his dribbling can't bail him out, he turns into Zardes and basically burns by you...

He is literally USA iniesta... playing the Xavi role.. making sure that forward progress is a team concept, not a nagbe concept, and that everyone is getting fed first THEN him.

God i love this man, official man crush starting.. now

I would disagree. With Zardes I don't think it is all about technique...he needs a little more poise...he needs to slow the game down a fraction and concentrate on receiving the ball and then think about what he is going to do with it.
