Dont think this match is a gimme or easy as people might feel. I encourage people to watch Paraguay play Colombia. Might be down on score already lol but i think they might give them more fight than we did.

Note Colombian is just good at set pieces it seems.

Oh I hope there aren't people who think the Paraguay game is a gimme for us. I'm worried that our fire and fight we showed today won't carry over to Saturday. I'm confident in us getting a result to help us advance, but I'm also very wary of this being a trap game.

Really more of a fight? The US gave Colombia a lot of fight.

I still think the US would be even more dangerous bringing on a Morris for Dempsey than a Wondo. Morris speed would frighten tired defenses.

Oh absolutely. Jurgen fucked that one up royally. I still wonder if Sigi had a talk with Jurgen and somehow worked out a way to keep one of his two star forwards for MLS games. If that wasn't the case, then Jurgen just flat out made the wrong decision.

Colombia win is just fine with me. But that makes Paraguay desperate in the last game.

Yeah Morris brings energy chases balls down and pressures. Wondo doesnt do that. You want that off your bench. Reason I kept insisting on that move. Nothing on Wondo apart from his finishing on this level leaves alot to desire.

Although Morris' speed and dynamism is far superior than Wondo's, I do have to disagree with you about chasing down the ball and pressuring. It seems like every time I see Wondo make an appearance for the USMNT lately, he is running his butt off trying to pressure the defence. Wondo always offers a ton of hustle on the pitch.

Wondo has 6 goals with two being pk's in MLS. Morris has 5 goals all from him being dangerous and from the run of play. I do think Sigi persuaded JK not to take him. Seattle would have had zero strikers.

I highly doubt JK will be persuaded again. I fully expect to see both Morris and Dempsey getting called up for WCQ in September.

Paraguay has had there chances. Lezcano is dangerous. USMNT is going to have nullify him.

The good thing is that Paraguay has to travel across country again. They got the shaft with that.

What a match from Paraguay. Thats the kind of fight I refer too. Those guys were that close to tying the game with 10 men. Gotta say it should have been a 2-2. Tough tough match versus Paraguay but you gotta ask now... how much does that team (Paraguay) have left. Just played an intense match, have to fly to philly and from there 3 days rest?
