If we were playing Costa Rica in a WCQ in Chicago would we be this nervous? Costa Rica is a good team and particularly strong in San Jose but if we can't beat them in the US it will be a massive failure.

im not worried about costa rica.... im worried about ourselves. We literally beat ourself in this opening match. 2 mistakes... two goals. Mistakes happen but bit worried on how bradley played.

I don't see a scenario where Dempsey doesn't start every game of this tournament. Unless it's from injury or suspension.

It's a must win regardless what happens with Paraguay and Costa Rica.

We can beat Costa Rica. And I foresee a few changes and possibly a formation change.

To be honest I see Jones getting benched next game due to his reaction of getting subbed off.

Bradley sucks against south american teams but Klinsmann is stupid to realize it and starts him regardless.

I'm sure someone will look it up for my lazy ass, but my guess is that we have more often than not beaten Costa Rica at home in meaningful games over the last 10 years. Just need to grab the lunch pail and go to work.

I don't think we need to change the lineup to beat Costa Rica. Klinsman just needs to let go of the Reins and let them attack. If we get burned on the counter then so be it. I would rather have some meaningful shots on goal as opposed to sitting back all game like we did Vs. Columbia

Theres talk about dempsey being a midfielder. Just the way he drops back for the ball and all as a CAM. We have a goal scorer in bobby wood and hes out wide...

Having dempsey on this team make its so tough to fit

This team always feels like it's starting from scratch at every tournament we play. As though the friendlies we played in the last 12 months didn't provide us with ANY insight.
