2tones lineup is good, but I think JK will use his bench to get some players minutes before the tournament starts and avoid injuries to key players. My guess

Howard
Orozco, Besler, Cameron, Chandler
Kitchen
JJ Nagbe
Bedoya, Woods, Pulisic

Guzan is fresh and will be starting every game this summer. You can bank on that.

Some of the other guys could see some rest for sure, but no reason to rest the GK. He will be trying to get as much time for Guzan on the pitch with these defenders as possible. Howard is the clear #2, no need to rest a GK.

Wood and Bedoya were reportedly rested for this game so they could start the Bolivia game. To me you start guzan and keep contunity for your defense. Midfield and forward I think Klinsmann should give the younger players a shot Nagbe Pulisic see what they can do and consider them for starting in the copa america.

If Guzan is the clear cut #1 then I agree, but 1) this is JK setting the lineup and 2) I don't think Guzan is hands above everyone else as the #1 and could use some pushing. In fact, I don't think 1-3 have ever been as close as they are right now.

Yep, 2tone's got the lineup. This is our best 11 (I'd take Howard, but I'm fine w/ sticking w/ 1 guy for a while).

Although this game is a scrimmage so it's definitely the lineup for Columbia. And as always, plenty of player movement will happen due to fatigue, yellow cards, etc.

I want to see a Brooks/Besler CB combo just to see if it is a viable option. If it is, we can can move Cameron to Dmid behind Nagbe and MB. Brooks/Birnbaum got better as the game went on...it wasn't bad at all. With more training time together it could be very solid. I could roll with that if Cam was infront of them as the D mid.

I think the line up for Bolivia will be a little funky...JK seeing what a few players can bring at a couple key positions to add to the core group. I'm guessing we're going to see Chandler at LB.

Man, if Chandler can handle LB and look the part, it opens up a lot of possibilities. I wouldn't hesitate putting Fab up field on the flank with Pulisic on the opposite flank in a 4-3-3.

Not for Bolivia, but at someone point later in the Copa, I'm betting we see something very close to this.

.....................Wood..................
.....Fab........................Pulisic......
...............Nag............MB.............
......................Cam..................
Chandler....Brooks...Besler.....Yeddy

Short term, it all hinges on Chandler and another solid CB to pair with Brooks who isn't named Cameron.

No guys, Coach Rain says Dempsey isn't a striker, so it can't be done.

In fairness putting Bedoya out wide, and wood in the middle changes our team but I feel like it might just be an improvement. Given the Ecuador minutes.

Would have loved to see Nguyen in for Jones. He's more creative than Nagbe less of a ball hawk than Nagbe. Releases the blal really quickly in possession. But Nguyen just didn't make it.

Guzan is the #1. JK told him and Tim Howard that for Copa Guzan is the #1 and he will evaluate after Copa. Guzan will have to have a horrid game for Howard to see any playing time. Thus for Bolivia Guzan has to play.

JK is not putting Brooks and Besler on the field together except in experimental/emergency. He has faith in Birnbaum, so if Cameron has to move to DM then it will be Brooks and Birnbaum. And we'll be fine with that lineup.

I'd like to see Chandler at LB and see if he can do it, giving us the option of putting FabJo up higher if we need to. Even if we don't, the option is nice.

Stone88 has it exactly right.

Stones lineup may be our best XI, but I doubt we see that against Bolivia. Squad rotation (given the ages of players like Jones and Dempsey) will be key going forward in this tournament. The heat, yellow cards, and strategy will force Jürgens hand, as that best XI will change as the tournament goes on.

If that is the lineup that JK wants to go with for the Copa we need to get it on the field together to start Bolivia. For at least the first 45'. Then sub everyone off and get them rest.
I'd start that.
Then at the half I would sub Chandler for Yedlin, Kitchen for Bradley, and Besler for Brooks. Then at around 60' send Zusi in For Dempsey, Wondo for Wood, and Orozco for FabJo.

Why does everyone want Fab pushed upfield more. Isnt it obvious that given our current player pool we are at our best with him at LB. Here are the options:

Fab at LW- Makes us play Chandler or Orozco at LB. Lets us only play 2 of Dempsey/Wood/Bedoya/Pulisic. Almost no chance Pulisic is among the 2 chosen, at least not while Dempsey is still around.

Fab at LB- Keeps crapbag LB options on the bench. Lets us play 3 of above group.

I dont think you can argue that if the goal is get your best XI on the field then Fab at LB accomplishes this. I think its also very clear that Fab is our best player at LB. Is he our best LW anymore? If you could only play Fab or Pulisic I bet more people chose Pulisic
