This summer could be a huge summer for young USMNT players. Figured with the season ending next week rumors will start flowing fast and furious. This past winter we saw some huge transfers go down (Miazga, EPB, Perez, Wright). I think this summer will see a continuation of that. Here are the players we know will be on the move.

Hyndman- No way he returns to Fullham
Scott- Asked to be moved. Should land somewhere good
Holmes- Released by Huddersfield. Had promise. Could be late bloomer like Lletgett
Green- No way he stays on Munich reserves again
Zelalem- Permanent move to Rangers? Loaned somewhere else?
Yedlin- Permanent move to new EPL side? Back to Spurs to play?
Wood- Rumored to Hamburg.

Potential transfers:
Chandler- If eintracht gets relegated Id think he is moved.
Guzan- Who knows?
Boyd- Is he still in RB Leipzigs plans?
Stanko/Steffen- With Freiburg being promoted will they stay or go?
Arriola- Been with Tijuana a long time. Hinted that he'd like to come to MLS. Needs a new challenge.
Corona- Dorados is being relegated. Will he stay in MX? COme back to MLS? almost completely out of US picture.

Should be an exciting summer for the yanks abroad

I'm most excited for Hyndman. Picking up a young talented player like him on a free transfer is very enticing.

Guzan needs to find a new team.

Id like to know what happened to Packwood, Cunningham the LB, Obrien, and others that got lost.. Anybody know? Like Cuevas also, he was promising and had a great left. Joya is with Necaxa, the glorious 90s team from Mexico who beat Beckhams united in brazil. They will fight for promotion this week vs Juarez.

I dare say Kyle Scott got approached during the UEFA U-19 Champions League. Scored the winner against Ajax and then his playing time started dwindling. Chelsea do have a lot of promising talent ahead of him at his positions so a move makes sense for him. If I had to guess, Ajax may well be Scott's next destination.

If LeHavre gain promotion, I could see Bob Bradley potentially buying Guzan.

One player not on the list is Gyau. I could see Dortmund releasing him or loaning him out for next season.

Also what about zardes and Williams. Both were in the discussion about moving to a new team. It's time for a premiere league team or a newly promoted team to pick Danny up.

Also what about Flores and kieswetter. Aren't they being released at the end of their contracts?

Would not be surprised to see a couple of the young US players currently in Europe/Liga MX to land in MLS this summer. Kiessewetter & Corona are two names I could see moving to MLS when the transfer window opens. Both have mentioned that they wouldn't be opposed to coming to the league and both have skill sets that would be of interest to a number of MLS teams. Not sure about Flores as I've not heard anything about his play for BvBs youth teams for a while so not sure where his ability would suggest he could land next.
Unfortunately if they if they do come to MLS they'd be required to go through a lottery.

Kiessewetter & Corona - Signed by MLS...which teams get them in the lottery who knows
Arriola - Stays in TJ
Yedlin, Zelalem & Green - Stay with their teams, but are sent out on Loans.
Hyndman & Scott - Mid-Table EPL teams will pick them up.
Stanko & Steffen - Remain where they are.

I know there was the reported ManU interest in Hyndman. However, what makes you think a mid level EPL team will look at him. Plus, would that be the best spot for him? I know that Fullham had some management issues, plus his contract is up so why play him, but if he could not break through on a consistent basis for a team that was fighting not to go down to the third tier what makes him ready to go to a Stoke or Everton? Would love to see it do not get me wrong, but is he really ready for that?

@goods - Hyndman is a skilled player who would make a good addition to most mid level EPL clubs. I would expect that he'd be a reserve and/or bench player for the first 6 to 12 months for a mid table team. The reason a Stoke, Everton, type team would pick him up is 2 fold.....
1) He's on a free transfer so he isn't going to cost all that much. This makes taking him as a project more acceptable.
2) As a project he's not being brought in to be an instant starter/upgrade the team for the 2016-17 season....he'd be bought as depth with the potential to be a major talent in 2-3 yrs.

A lot of teams will be interested in taking a risk on picking up a low cost player with the skills of Hyndman in the hopes that he'll be a serious contributor in a couple years. Scott, Zelalem, and Hyndman are all young talents that clubs would happily pick up on free transfers for their potential.
Do I think its a good move....yes. He's the kind of player that needs to have reasonable talent around him for him to preform his best. If he's the only skill player he'll struggle....he needs some kind of supporting cast, something he doesn't have at Fulham.

That is a good post and a fair statement. I would rather see him go to an Ajax like team were he has that talent around him, but also a proven developmental system. I think the Dutch league would do wonders for his development.

Packwood wasnt picked up by MLS after he was let go by Birmingham. Id imagine he's waiting for this transfer window to go on trial for teams in Europe (Championship? League one? Ligue 2?)

O'Brien is on the team thats being promoted back to Danish Superleague.

Cuevas- no idea. Must be playing for some reserve team in Mexico. Last played a match for Indy Eleven in NASL

Sean Cunningham was last playing with Sounders 2. Although I dont know if he was just training with them or actually on their books.

With Hyndman's skill set I hope he goes to the Eredivisie or Bundesliga. I think he will be more appreciated there, more playing time, and probably develop more.

Zelalem won't be sold in the summer transfer window. If he still isn't good enough to play with the Arsenal first team, then he will be loaned out again (probably to a Championship team).

Scott will move, I just hope it is somewhere where he will play regularly.

I think Green moves to mid-table Italian team.

Wood goes to a Bundesliga team.

Yedlin will either be loaned or sold to an EPL team in late August. Tottenham will give him time to show them what he has. If he impresses he stays and plays regularly. I don't think Tottenham rate him, so I think he'll be sold in August.

I'm not so sure about this. Walker can be a nightmare defender and a hot head who will get found out in the Champions League. My guess is they sell Walker to better fund their central defense and start Trippier with DY as a low cost back up.

That's best case scenario and certainly possible. But if history has taught us anything with American's in Europe, it's to not expect those best case scenario's, they don't happen. American's aren't give the benefit of the doubt oversea's and even when earned still have to earn more.

Julian Green in Italy? I don't see that at all, France or mid table La Liga seem like a better fit.
