Yeah Lindley will be a big player for this team to start. But who says he isn't passed up by some one down the road or not passed up who knows.

If he has a break out season at NC the Fire should homegrown sign him. Philly and Fire have some big potential HG signings at NC.

What's pretty interesting to me is the u20s play Fulham in the second game. So Tab will get a look at De la Torre and Fossey, which is good. Wonder if he was planning on calling either up.

My line up for first game:

Sabbi-Elney-Lennon
--Yueil--
Acosta-Lindley
Nelson-Redding-Borges-Olosunde
----JT---

I'm wondering if Glad and EPB weren't released for this tournament bc our CBs besides Redding seem second or third string. I know Barbir was called and not released..

@scout- de la Torre will be a key player, as you say it will be interesting (remember CCV almost fighting with Spurs v USA) to see.

Another possible HG for the Fire headed to UNC is CB Mauricio Pineda, who did the full preseason with the Fire as Coach Pauno got a look at him. Skilled CB with his feet and brain.

Very good in possession. Lennon and Ebobisse are the two standouts

They drop against Gulham 2-1. Should have put their chances away in that first half.

U20s fail to advance to semi finals.. Not surprised considering the defense they had.

Not reading anything into it. First time many of these guys have played with eachother. People get to uptight about these tournaments.

Gordon Jago Super Group recap:
U20s don't advance with 4 points, Fulham won that group with 5 points...Real Salt Lake academy narrowly edged out of the semis by the FCD academy on goal difference. Fulham and Fluminese won their groups going unbeaten, 3 wins for Flu and Fulham had two draws.

Fulham and Fluminese are semi # 1, FCD faces the Everton academy in semi # 2. Both are played back-to-back tomorrow night starting at 6 with the Flu/Fulham match and the final will be played on Sunday.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
