Its better than the old logo. Still wish we kept the centennial crest though.

This a a million times over. I'd assume the majority of fans feel this way also.

Are you a fan of the collar or no collar? I love the collar.

I prefer a collar and the White ones we've been wearing since the 2014 World Cup are probably my favorite US jersey.

That said, I'm surprisingly alright with this new home kit. I'm not sure if that's because I actually like it or if my expectations were so low after seeing the hideous away jerseys that I wasn't expecting much.

The more that I see the new logo, the more frustrating in becomes. A crest should stand the test of time especially at the national team level. This crest is already time stamped as a 2010s look with the sharp angled lettering. It's going to look horrible in a decade and they'll have to change it again.

I don't understand it, if they surveyed the fan base, the centennial crest would be a landslide winner probably 75-80% of the vote....wtf is the problem.

Regarding the jersey design, does anybody know how long the contract is with Nike...they've been underwhelming. Unfortunately, it's all driven by the almighty dollar, not to do everything possible to give us a badass kit.

Maybe it should be an open bid process on an annual or 1-2 year basis. Competing companies would need to submit their designs as part of their bid for the contract. USSF gets some discreet feedback from representative fans groups then select the company with the best design and award the contract. Open competition and we don't have to settle for crap from one company.

USA will never leave Nike as Nike is an American company and that would look bad on Nike to lose that contract. I am surprised Nike did not jump on the MLS contract but Adidas has been bidding outrageously on sports sponsorships as of late.

I have always rated Nike a lot better than Adidas in terms of designs. Adidas could do no better. I will not buy an MLS jersey until they become Nike sponsored. I cannot stand Adidas designs.

Yes, the last one I bought is the home white in 2014 with the collar. I thought that jersey was amazing. I love the simple polo look as the jersey looks great athletically and with some jeans. But I am happy for the crest change as our old crest looked very cartoonish and amateurish. Now we look legit.

The centennial crest from what I understand is copyrighted by US Hockey. It's identical. Which means US soccer can't use it for their official Crest. They were able to get US Hockey to OK it for their Centennial in 2013.

Don't copyrights expire? I'd be surprised if the centennial logo could be copyrighted by any entity at this point.

It would be a trademark issue as opposed to one dealing with copyright. US Hockey did have a shield style logo which looked similar to the centennial crest.

New gear for sale on ussoccer.com and I'm not joking these are your t-shirt options. There are no normal options, and I am going to define normal as a t-shirt that contains the new logo that you can actually see from any moderate distance.

Who on earth would buy these shirts for $35? Nike is absolutely trolling us at this point.

Back during 2014 WC I wanted one of those red and gray pullovers that the players wore but couldn't find them anywhere. So I emailed USSoccer store and they said Nike controlled what they could sell. What a crock. The players and coaches always have the best stuff and you'd think USSoccer and Nike would want to cash in and sell those same items to us fans. Second fav team is Ireland and I have a boatload of Ireland Umbro gear because they actually sell the same stuff the team wears and its great looking.

This is shit. Honestly you would think that they would want to make money off of the fans! If they had something other than those track jackets for sale (not that I don't like those, I just think the training pullovers are way better) I would totally spend money on it.

Ditch nike at the end of their contract. I'm sick of it.
