I think it was ASN that had a series where they would just tell you things that club and media were saying about various USMNT players. I think it would be a good idea for this forum. So, if you see tweet, post, article, or even snippet about how USMNT players are performing at the club level, please post here.

Some BVB banter......

Lars Pollmann ‏@Ziz_kov 18 Dec 2015
Say about them what you want, but Bayern getting 4 key players to extend at the same time shows why they're the best-run club in the world.

Luca ‏@luc_bvb 18 Dec 2015
@Ziz_kov Can't wait for us to do the same

Lars Pollmann ‏@Ziz_kov 18 Dec 2015
@luc_bvb Weidenfeller, Leitner, Bandowski and Ramos.

Luca ‏@luc_bvb 18 Dec 2015
@Ziz_kov I'd just give Pulisic four contracts

Some pretty high praise for CCV.

So Dortmund didn't sign a Winger because they wanted to promote and give Pulisic a chance. Tottenham didn't sign a CB because they have faith in CCV and promoted him. id look for him to have his debut soon. Chelsea signed Miazga and needed CBs (he was their most expensive CB signing this season). Zelalem extended his Rangers loan (IE Rangers wanted him) to the full season. Hyndman is regularly featuring for Fulham and likely to move in the summer to a team where he will get more opportunities.

High praise indeed...King is a legend at Spurs and if CCV is being likened to him by Spurs' coaches, then the sky's the limit and he'll be getting his chance sooner than later.

He may well end up being one of those players that plays one position for club and another for country. Given the number of central defenders we have of the same calibre, he may be our next holding midfielder.

I would rather keep CCV at Center Back than add him to the vast pool of Center Mids.
We only have 8 Center Backs that I'd feel comfortable fielding: Cameron (30), Besler (29), Gonzalez (27), Brooks (23), Alvarado (23), Miazga (20), CCV (18). Birnbaum (25).
At the moment the CB spots are highly contested. If CCV really comes on and starts competing for time on TOTs 1st team he can quickly climb the ladder.
Where as the CM position has one old guy guy going out to pasture from a pool that has 16 players competing for the Holding or Box-to-Box CMs....
Bradley (28), Jones (34), Williams (26), Diskerud (25), Morales (25), Nagbe (25), Tchani (27), Trapp (23), Gil (22), Hyndman (20), Zelalem (19), Stanko (22), Canouse (20), Senora (19), McCarty (29), Kljestan (30)

Speaking of youth players this known Kid can be the next teen to break onto PSG's first team soon if he keeps tearing it up. And he is just 15.

Right. A 15year old will be in the first team "soon". Even if its two years out, which would be absurdly optimistic (see Pulisic) thats not soon in soccer terms. realistically he's probably 4 or so years out from playing 1st team minutes. Thats not what I would call soon. In 2026 he may be our best player but who really concerns themselves with 10 years down the road.

From everything I have seen I think the potential at CB is ranked like this (that is the players reach their potential):

1-CCV
2-Miazga
3-Brooks
4-EPB

CCV was 17 starting for the U-20's and looking quite good most of the time (that's a team that only lost to the Champions in the quarterfinals by Penalty kicks). He is in the best position for development of all of those guys being at Tottenham who actually develop players and give young players a chance.

I can't disagree with anything here, though I think if all 4 of those guys reach their full potential they'll be pretty much interchangeable. Realistically, I see one of the tall guys being paired with a shorter/quicker counterpart. Brooks and Miazga are both 6'4", EPB is 6'1" and CCV is 6 flat. Much in the way the Gooch/Bocanegra pairing worked, one is a little more quick and the other a little more powerful, but both are well-rounded and compliment each other.

But as to KnowNothing's theory/prediction/desire? to see CCV in the CDM spot, I don't see it unless he's going to be a Gattuso-esque destroyer that's only interested in ball winning. Since we have such a deep CM pool, we have enough people that can function well enough as ball winners without sacrificing too much in other departments like playmaking/vision and picking out the right pass. The only way we get a Gattuso is to also have a Pirlo that sees the pitch seemingly from every angle and can put the ball anywhere on it with little to no effort. Until then, we're going to have the box-to-box types with one hanging back and one going forward, as we've done for ages. If one of these young'ns turns out to be that Pirlo, I'm all for having a pitbull in front of the back four that lets the wingbacks play a little higher up.
