Taking chances on MLS players is the reason we didn't qualify in 2018 lol.
If Cannon was really good, he wouldn't be in MLS.
I can't watch MLS for 5 minutes without dosing off. You have poorly coached college players with bad technique, Central American rejects with low football iq, and washed Euro players. I could see this level at my local park and it's not a good barometer to assess potential World Class players.
Yeah... alright, so... you never said the words "MLS stinks", but also said this in this same thread...

I'm sorry, but your comments can't be taken seriously.

And as a suggestion, how about you start a thread on the various 2nd division European leagues and outline the distinct advantages of each compared to MLS. This should provide a list of specific leagues that are better, with explanations as to why. Lets stop bloating this thread with nonsense and move it to a specific thread on the topic.

If my comments can't be taken seriously, why do you get so worked up about them lol?
I've given you many advantages top European 2nd divisions have over MLS, just reread the thread. This whole discussion about La Liga 2 compared to MLS was used to explain why there's no evidence that Cannon is better than Moore or even playing at the same level as well as why this is a better league for his development than MLS. As a suggestion, why don't you tell me how many MLS players transferred to to 1st division Euro Leagues, for how much, how many minutes they played, goals scored and created compared to players who transferred and promoted from Euro 2nd divisions?

Since he was mentioned in the right back discussion, he just signed with Tenerife in the Spanish second division.

Your boy made TOTW in Segunda A this wk.
His club is now 3pts from a promotion playoff spot to La Liga
RB depth is about to get serious.

Good to see Moore doing well in Spain (he had two assists in his last game). I liked the competitiveness he showed in his appearances for us. He's persevered through the whole Reus debacle with the club being a mess (and now dissolved), then not getting playing time at the outset at Tenerife, but playing much more now and contributing. I like players who've proven they're willing to take risks and have the toughness to succeed despite challenges, and Shaq has shown both of those qualities.

Shaq has always been a team guy since he played out of position years ago in the youth tournaments. It was his dream to play in Spain and he is making it. He has plenty of skills to go with a great attitude. I think he still has room to grow. Tenerife is my family's ancestral home I'm proud we have an American there. If only Sabbi had made it as Las Palmas...

He's played for not one but two professional clubs that have gone out of business because of financial difficulties, and he's only 23.

Just a few points out of the playoffs with 4 games to go, Tenerife is peaking at the right time. It's a super long shot but they do have a chance at La Liga in the fall. With Dest able to play the other side and further forward I don't see how Shaq isn't in the conversation with Yedlin and Cannon.

Thank you @Hamm for this unpopular but very real scenario

That Shaq is in a more technical league than the quality 2Bund and physical Championship. All these quality 2nd tier leagues shouldn't be ignored, the players understand the game and are technical enough (especially for USA).

The Dest as a winger scenario isn't that far fetched. I see one winger (Pulisic) who can take guys on. The rest aren't that great at it or are projects just as much as Dest the winger would be. Dest higher up allows for more defensive stability as well. I think Moore (and of course Yedlin and Cannon) could still start at RB and help the team defend better than Dest, while still allowing Dest to be free to attack and combine. Moore is a great choice for a call in for the next camp whenever it is.

Personally I like the scenario of Reyna at RW with Dest at RB running in behind. Reyna isn't a traditional winger. Those two could combine and destroy defenders on the right side. Reyna drifting inside opening space for Dest would be awesome to see.

I agree with that. Most scenarios I can see Dest at RB pushing forward, however against our more skilled and dangerous opponents I'd like to see a more defensive RB.
