Thought I read somewhere his contract was expiring soon or he was on the radar of a French club or something...it was a few months ago and I haven't looked into it since but that is still the best case scenario for the USMNT though, right?

ESPN's Twellman says that Colorado/Chicago allocation order swap is likely for Rapids to sign #USMNT and Nantes winger Alejandro Bedoya.

Wow. Fire trade Joevin Jones to Seattle. He's gonna be a beast on that team the guy can really play and is coming into his prime.

As I have been saying/hoping- the youth movement is on in Chicago!

Aurelian Colin? He was traded to Orlando last season.

Reports are that Bedoya won't be joining MLS this transfer window.

I wonder if Mixx will be looking for a new club. With NYCFC trading up to grab Harrison they now have Villa, Pirlo, Lampard, and Harrison among others in the midfield. I know the other 3 are older and likely to need some games off, but it doesnt look like NYC sees Mixx as a key part of their club.

Huge rumors starting that Rapids traded for the 1st spot in allocation to bring in Bedoya. With Bedoya not able to come over they are now trying to bring in Timmy Howard. Cant see why he'd come to MLS now but you never know. Martinez is clearly starting to sour on him and maybe the writings on the wall. Would be crazy to think that after the last 2 decades of consistent EPL starting goalies for USA come July 1st we may have zero EPL starting goalies.

The Rapids are a mess all over the field but Clint Irwin is a solid goalkeeper. He's no Tim Howard but that's the one position that they aren't in a dire need of upgrading. It would be strange to shell out a ton of money on a GK. I guess they are just trying to give the fans something to be excited about.

I highly doubt Tim would go to Colorado anyway. From what I understand he has stated that if he comes back to MLS it will be with one of the two NY teams.

Ashley Cole is on his way to the galaxy. I am also hearing Nigel De jong and Van Damme from Belgium are also on the way, cant confirm those moves since they are in negotations with their clubs at the moment. I dont really like the cole move he completely threw mls under the bus when he was linked with the mls. I am not sure he will take mls seriously, hopefully he does but I kind of get a sense of a marquez situation again. Very good player who will just kind of skate by on his name. De Jong and Van Damme I can see working out for them. Van Damme will be played at CB which is interesting since he is more of a left back. If those 3 moves tranpsire then the galaxy are showing their intent along with the magee and boateng moves. Nigel De Jong would be the best move since he would help free LA's attackers by just sitting back and protecting the back line.

According to the Fire gm Nelson Rodriguez, the club have signed "an unnamed European CB, and are close on another". The 'another' being 24 yr old Marcin Kaminski, defender from Lech Poznan, the polish champions. He is wanted by many big clubs (not top clubs) that play Europa league and champions league. Would be a coup for the Fire and another type of signing showing the true growth of MLS.

Brilliant. I am glad to hear that the Fire are using the Polish diaspora to their advantage. I hope it happens.

In the regard of being an equal to a French league in terms of a destination would show something to me. And not having more polish, Mexicans and even and Italian or Irish player is a mistake that Rodriguez seems to be remedying. The good thing is those countries' leagues with the exception of Italy really aren't all that...

Let's be honest too-- who wouldn't want to come to America, all things considered. As MLS gets more profitable, more of these moves should be happening. Giovinco was too big a name for what I mean but the point is the same. The tide is turning.

Interesting stuff coming out today.

Toronto has acquired GK Clint Irwin from Colorado. Which would leave a spot open for Tim Howard. Is Howard really coming back? Is he tired of the Everton/EPL fan base?
