If Miazga is loaned out next year (real possibility) would love for him to go to Hertha Berlin. Imagine Brooks & Miazga practicing & playing together week in and week out. If that were to happen it could really rocket him up the depth chart and give the US a CB pairing with real Chemistry....allowing for Cameron to push forward into the CDM role. This could make for some very effective line-ups:
4-3-3
--Pulisic---Jozy---Wood--
---Nagbe------Bradley--
------Cameron------
-Fabian--Brooks--Miazga--Yed-

4-2-3-1
------Jozy-----
-Fabian--Nagbe--Bedoya
---Cameron-Bradley--
-???--Brooks--Miazga-Yed

If he goes out on loan its probably to Vitesse or to Watford if Chelssea bring Ake back to 1st team

Conte has been confirmed as the new incoming manager of Chelsea next year. Hopefully Miazga can impress him. One thing that could be of concern is in addition to the plethora of young CBs on load Conte is rumored to want to bring Manolas (young stud CB from Greece) to Chelsea with him as he's familiar with him from watching him play in Italy and UCL the last couple of years.

However Conte is almost assured to bring his 3-5-2 with him. Meaning more time available for Center Backs like Miazga.

Probably so. The youth teams had been setting up and playing in 3-5-2 the last few times out and Hiddink fields an adventurous lineup for the first time this weekend, so preparations were already being made for Conte (and I don't buy that Terry and Cahill were out injured).

That being said, more CB's may not equate into more playing time for Miazga and I still think he will be loaned to a Cahmpionship side or another PL team to get used to the English game.

absolutely correct. Just because they go to 3 CBs doesn't mean that extra time will go to Miazga. Just that there is a higher chance he is able to stay there. With his athleticism he would be a great fit for one of the outside CB's in a 3-5-2.

I haven't been keeping up with Miazga lately but Bshredder just published a great piece on his recent run of form.

I feel like Zimmerman, etc the hopeful MLS CB's compare favorably to Miazga, just that Miazga has that experience going against better competition (both domestically and internationally).

Really big on this guy. But I love Zimmerman from what little I saw.

Not having seen him play, hard to say what run of form Miazga has, but he has gotten a run of games, which is immense for him. It would be interesting to see where he is, though I doubt Bruce will call him up.

Same thing with Hyndmann...getting some matches and is himself on a good run of form...it should be interesting to see how he handles the big derby match this sunday (televised 8am on FS1 or streamed over fox soccer2go). If he does well, I think a callup for the qualifiers should be granted.

Well... I think callups are in order, ideally before the Gold Cup.

I'm not sure about for the qualifiers. But yea, if he owns the derby, big news.

Miazga is rumored to be getting loaned out to Feyonoord (champs) or Eindhoven (3rd place, Europa League). Either way looks like Miazga will be a week one starter in the Eredivise next year. He should really start to put pressure on Arena to call him up and give him some looks over Omar/Birnbaum/Besler

Those two teams are options, but I am not convinced he will start right away for them. He would probably be third choice but would still get opportunities since both clubs are in Europe.

My gut feeling is that Miazga will not get loaned over the summer but rather transferred. He has improved and not hurt his stock playing in the Netherlands. There are younger English options ahead of him at Chelsea plus they will presumably buy another defender (probably from the Italian league). If I were to wager, I would say he could end up at Leicester City as there are rumblings of a clearout there.

That wouldnt suprise me. Reports were Chelsea was going to meat with all loanees before the transfer window opens to help them out more this year. It shouldnt come down to a last minute move like last year and Im sure Chelsea would prefer to sell him if the cost was right (get as much/more than they paid MLS)

I would prefer he get in a full preseason as opposed to playing for the USA. I think at a good club next year he would be ready for Russia 2018, which is when we need him at his best. To do that he should be playing all the time and the best way for him to do that is to get into his new club early to be first in line to play.

Having said that he is better than the MLS options and Omar Gonzalez at CB right now.

I would prefer he play for the USMNT to get a solid number of appearances under his belt given the uncertainty that is Brexit. I think most of us are in agreement we would be shocked if he played again for Chelsea so he will be moving at some point. His Polish passport will help him tremendously on the continent, but if he wants to play in England he will need to be keeping up appearances.

If he is under consideration by Arena, it would help to get him assimilated as quickly as possible for when he is needed.

Call him into the Gold Cup squad. If need be, we can replace him after the group stages so he can return to train with his new team.
