Just saw highlights of the 3 goals. Laughing that that is the quality of play exhibited in the championship game of our league. Bush-league keeping and defending.

Agreed I didnt really see much of a plan from columbus today. It seemed to all go to shit in the first 10 minutes and then from there Columbus attacked decently but Portland was the better team no doubt. Once Finlay was shut down on the wing Columbus attacking wise was just hopeful balls and nothing much else. Kamara didnt look 100 percent and with Finlay shut down columbus just didnt have enough to win it. I am suprised Mbwati isnt starting and Meram is. Mbwati always plays so well coming off the bench and meram today was not good at all. I could see columbus bouncing back and winning next year still have the pieces just have to get mentally refocused after losing the cup in front of their home fans.

That Coverby dude on here laughed in my face earlier when i brought up the idea of Caleb Porter for the National Team 2-3 months ago. The reason i used was that he has done a great job with almost nothing and has created something special. How does it feel now coverby?

Probably the same as it did 2-3 months ago. Caleb Porter winning one MLS Cup is a fine achievement. Great. But to all of a sudden try and use that as evidence that he's ready to coach the USMNT? That's what we call delusion, my friend.

Actually no probably not, because Caleb Porter took 3 years in the MLS to win the cup. All 3 of those years he was building a quality team that could contend for the cup. This was the year that all the pieces over the last three years came together. Porter will eventually be in the same conversation as Arenas and Schmid. Porters ability to build a team in a short period of time that works well together and keep the american style in the roots of play is the reason he should be the coach and not Klinsmann....

no we just you and that is why you are the deluded one here.

So by your logic, Gary Smith (who took over the job at Colorado and lead them to an MLS cup win in TWO years) should also be looked at to be the USMNT coach.

Right?

He won me over when he actually played Donovan against Bayern. Klinsmann would have tried to keep him on the bench.
