That's Loser Talk!!! We would not of made it out of any group our team just stink.

Funny because I distinctly remember you saying you were so excited by the u17's and they would beat our u23 team not to long ago. Now the team just stinks? Shit you overhyped this team from the beginning saying Pulisic and Wright and Gallardo should start getting looks with the senior team.

I don't really can't take anything you seriously anymore.

He said what?!?! Pulisic, Wright & Gallardo getting looks with the senior team? I need to see that exact quote. That is crazy talk. Probably the funniest and furthest reaching thing said on this forum.

I said to get invited to train. If they do well maybe deserve a look also. And yes i think the 17s have a good shot at beating the 23s. They both stink so it would be a good match up between them.

Admsghs if that is the case, you must not want us to qualify for 2018 and you are already looking forward to 2026.

The U17s are not beating the U23s nor do any of them deserve a shot at the senior national team just yet even if it is to train.

Have you wrote a letter to US Soccer? Other than having 16 year olds start for us in this WCQ cycle, what other suggestions do you have for our national side?

Lol. Cmon man that's just ridiculous to suggest. Morris and Keisewetter, Yedlin, Pelosi, Green would shred that team apart. It wouldn't even be fair.

I am pretty sure if any of the U17s were good enough to play with the U23s, they would be playing with them by now.

I have no problem with Tab for the most part.

Me either, he actually gave every player and prospect in the last cycle a shot. Like Payne, CCV, Tall, Luis Felipe to name some.. He actually brought a decent team.

I even give Klinsmann a pass bc were in a transition period from old to new, give it a year or two..

But Richie has to F**king go. His residency shit has cost us prospects and has got us no further in development or progression in play... He expects having a few great players will do it, you can't put all the pressure on three players.. Great teams win trophies..

Sad truth is we are still well behind other nations guys when it comes to national play.. Just keep following other nations players after the WC.. Compare them to ours you'll see..

Even most those other nations u17 players will never make it big.

Let me rephrase that: every team that has won a senior WC has won a significant youth tournament.

Yeah. And we've never won a senior WC nor have ever been close. So I don't see why people get upset when we get beaten by superior opposition in youth tournaments.

Problem is we never win nothing at any level. At least teams like Nigeria, Serbia, Mexico, Ghana etc can say they have won something. We don't do that great at the senior level because our youth teams are bad and that sort of translates on to the senior team. I mean around half the games our senior team has won we are the one that gotten outplayed and dominated we just found a way to win is not like we dominate a team when we win unless is a team like Cuba, Guatemala etc...

This debate wasn't about the US. You argued that other big countries that have won a senior WC aren't very good at the youth level. I was just re establishing my argument that Italy, Spain, Brazil, Germany, England, Ururguay, France, and Argentina have all won significant youth tournaments.

We were close in the very first WC back in 1930. Just saying.

This was Croatia's second ever U17 WC appearance. They are now going to the QF's. This was the US's 15th appearance in the u17 age range. 15 out of 16 tournaments that have been played the US has qualified for. They should be getting to QF's or beyond much more frequent then they have. I think they have only been to the QF's 5 times and SF's once when there wasn't a round of 16. Since the round of 16 was implemented with more teams in 2007 the US has never beaten their round of 16 opponent.

I agree with you that changes need to be made to the current u17 program.

And we do not need to win a youth title to prove our ability at the senior level. Youth tournaments are like a feather in the cap. Nice to win but really mean nothing in the long run. Youth tournaments are all about peaking early. Those countries have players that reach their peak fairly early and turn out to be let downs when they are pros for majority of them. Especially African countries. As it is based of technical skill set. We are not a technical nation and have never been one. We have been all about speed, physicality and strength. 11 youth Denilsons will always beat 11 youth Altidore but look at who was a bigger let down as a pro. Altidore hasn't had the greatest career but Denilson was a major bust.

As we have shown, we can beat all those countries you mention(Nigeria, Ghana, Mexico & Serbia) at the senior level and have done so at major tournaments against some of them despite our inferior skills but that is all you could ask for. How many of these players skills will translate to the senior level? I would rather players blossom late than earlier and be serviceable players to the national side for 7-8 years instead of 2-3 years.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
