True, soccer is the main sport in my city with a population of 250000.. Border city with Mexico and our fields are shit. Only one good field for the Laredo Heat and TAMIU university. The rest are filled with holes, rocks, dirt, and little weeds. Npt eveng grass lol.

Mixed results from Yedlin today. The majority of the time he was doing well. He made one really nice sliding tackle but he was involved on both of West Ham's goals.

On the first goal, he didn't help close down the space to prevent the cross from coming in. On the second goal he left a lot of space and didn't track his man for the tap in rebound.

I just saw the replays. Yedlin didn't look very much to blame on the first. He came in to support rather than double the pressure. Pressure man should have done more earlier. Keystone cops.

On the second, it was partly circumstance and timing- he got caught in a moment where he had to try to hold the line (and had he even run inward while holding it, it would not have mattered, the way the rebound happened to come to his man). His man risked it with perfect timing, and a diagonal run in behin Yedlin right when he had to hold the line.

On the first one at least, he might be under orders to support and block the passing lane. (with the angle he came in on, I would have preferred to see double-pressure if it was my team)

I was reading the Sunderland forums. Most thought he did well and was not responsible for either goal.

He looked good. Not the cause or factored in either goal

i think he did well and made some good plays on the defensive side of things some clean takeaways 1v1 but just couldnt get a run on the right for crosses as time goes i think they will learn how to use his speed on overlapping plays with him...I think hes gonna be playing every weeek for them unless advocat walks like the rest of his coaching staff did and they get some euro snob coach

Not worried. Sunderland played their best game in weeks, if not the whole year. Id be surprised if the new manager didnt stick with that for at least a week or two.

Rodgers. They can have him. Though I think he takes till summer off, and waits for multiple clubs to be opened up so he can take his 500 page dossier and hope that somebody buys into it again. His best bet is to go to La Liga where his knack for playing guys out of position won't be so easily taken advantage of.

I could also see him wait until the failed to qualify for euro's firings and maybe take a midlevel european job. Much less stress then EPL.
