When is Garber going to be on the hot seat. I mean I am not talking about letting teams free spend like China but he has to raise the salary cap substantially and get rid of the SuperDraft, let teams govern themselves. Garber needs to stop being a dictator, his way of running the league is so primitive and Mickey Mouse league-ish.

I do not think it is a huge blow in the level of competition as much as it is in how the schedule works. Name another league or sport where you are learning about new teammates and getting your feet underneath you like the MLS. These four teams start with a championship on the line. Plus, RSL did not even make the playoffs last year and DC is not a top team either. These teams earned this two seasons ago when they were younger and completely different teams. ie the Galaxy got there on the backs of Donovan and Gonzo

It's on the players union for not making the salary cap a bigger issue in the CBA.

Why would you get rid of the super draft?

I love the passion for the league, but I don't want a European league. I like having a competitive league.

Then why not go to Mexico for Preseason and play teams from there. That's what Montreal did last year and they did pretty well. Or better yet start the season in early February to September so it won't interfere with NFL/college football.

How much do college players really help the league? How many can play at this(CCL) level? Let them become free agents and make a team that way.

I think going to Mexico and playing preseason games is not a bad idea, but I am sure you need to find those teams willing to play you, while they are mid season. The schedule change to Feb to September maybe a good idea, but could teams in the rockies, upper midwest, and northeast survive with games in Feb and March during winters like the two previous ones when polar vortex were cuss words?

Just have those teams from the regions you mentioned just play road heavy schedules to start the season. It is a disadvantage I know but it is doable. Not like going to Home Depot Center or Pizza Hut Park or whatever it is called now is a fortress for the home team. The culture isn't there yet where playing at home is that great of an advantage in MLS, it is more the travel that is taxing.

I agree but that is starting the first month and a half on the road. MLB has tried this and then the teams from the south are on the road during the summer when kids are out of school. I think MLS should go to a Bundesliga II schedule with a long winter break, have the season start mid Feb.

You mean stub hub center and in case you haven't checked is been the strongest fortress in MLS for the past couple years. Galaxy's home record is insane i think they have like 2 or 3 loses or so in the past 3 years. About Same for FC Dallas they have a very good home record.

Another thing about Stub Hub during midweek games they have to limit the crowds, and that has nothing to do with the 405 which is reason enough to see a midweek game there. Part of what killed Chivas, besides awful management.

That is because the Galaxy has been the best team in MLS over that time not because of their boisterous fans or lack thereof. I have been to StubHub back in 2012 when it was HDC and it was about as loud as a funeral. I could hear myself think it was that quiet.

They help Quite a bit.

Clint Dempsey was s college player.

A rookie from college(Julian Biesceher) scored DC's only goal in this CCL series tonight.

LA's not done. All they need is one goal.

But this was predictable. MLS teams need to win at home. Period.

MLS team go into these games already hamstrung. The fact CONCACAF still haven't corrected the scheduling is embarrassing for the region.

How can Liga MX teams be happy about beating MLS teams that are barely in pre-season? They should want to play MLS teams when they are actually in season form.
