Lol. Super fan rain has spoken. So it shall be done!

LOL. are you opposed the idea of letting morris concentrate on acclimating to life as a professional AND U23 duty for the next few months without the burden of ALSO being expected to be a major contributor to full MNT?

how does it benefit anyone, especially morris, to be put in that position?

how bout come the fall, if morris is clearly one of better forwards in MLS, he start working into that group?

what is the logical alternative?

No dome here, son.

Where did they settle on for the stadium location? The stadium looks nice but the area looks barren. Do you like the location?

I do. It's about halfway between Minneapolis and St Paul. Right off the freeway. Of course you never know what the finished product is going to look like, but the rendering looks fucking beautiful. Some sad news, looks like they're ditching "United FC" from the name. I have a terrible feeling they're gonna go with Minnesota Loons. The Loons are a fine nickname for the team, but should have no business being the actual name.

He hasn't been a major contributor in non friendly games. In fact right now he is a bench player for the USMNT. No reason why he shouldn't be a bench option come Copa America.

He can play for both the u23's and USMNT the two are not mutually exclusive. Especially considering he can play multiple attacking positions. But hey if you want to see the USMNT restricted in a major tournament due to not choosing a talented player than so be it.

call me crazy - yes i feel like USMNT should be 'restricted' to guys who have proven themselves as professionals... for say at least 4-5 months

pretty sure we can find another 'talented player' who is not negotiating their first season as a pro

but hey, if you and JK want to forgo logic, so be it

I think it's safe to say Morris has proven enough in a USA shirt to warrant more chances with the full team. He has been the best player with the u23s consistently and has done well with the full team (even Rain cannot dispute that).

It's like the best player on JV... you call him up to Var... seems pretty straight forward as to why he got full team camps and minutes and then he played well so it makes sense that he would continue to get those opportunities.

logically speaking...

yea, just like diskerud "proved" himself with a handful of decent performances almost exclusively in meaningless friendlies.

you dont "prove" your worthiness as NT player in random NT friendlies, you prove yourself week in week out in meaningful matches at highest level possible

this really should not be a difficult concept to comprehend. but if people want to continue to identify themselves as clueless (no disrespect) go right ahead

Your idea of logic is flawed. Circumstances dictates who plays not how many minutes they have received as a pro or first team regular.

Just like circumstances may dictate Morris to play for the USMNT instead of the U23 team for the March WCQ. Breaking news just came in that Altidore has messed up his hamstring again, and reports are suggesting he may miss two or three weeks to the start of the season. His timeline of recovery doesn't look good for the Marcg WC qualifiers.

Rimando with a huge PK save. Have to say Rimando may be the USMNT starting GK for the March WCQ. I don't care that he is only 5'10". He is a damn good keeper.

Favoritism and coach selections and his own contradictions dictate who plays.

Yep. They need to change this format with the championship game in September. March- April group stage with the Knock out rounds beginning of August to the championship game at the end of September.
