IF RSL pulls it ... would be insane. Tigres best 2 of the whole part of this world at least considering copa lib runner up result.

Seattle and RSL showing admirably. LA and DC the joke of MLS and CCL. Never expected seattle to win at azteca with altitude advantage.

Fuck Mls is making a joke. And that's why I'm retiring as the mls prediction champ. I promised myself if 1 mls team made it I would of joined. But tonight is one of the biggest dissapoiments for my favorite league. .. Who gives a shit about our league now I bet ratings will go down dramatically now. .. Heck china will be more watchable now. .. And yes this tournament matters more than our freaking league. . just look at Barça and real Madrid they don't care about la liga they play for champs league same for the rest of euro clubs. ..

@PCarrESPN: Liga MX sweeps MLS in four CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinals.

Mexican teams have advanced in 25 of 28 CONCACAF series vs MLS teams.

Fantastic competitive attitudes in MLS...

Your anger is directed in the wrong direction. Why should DCU and LA care that they lost. They are in preseason. They are at a huge competitive disadvantage. There players havent played a competitive match in 4+ months. The clubs themselves are being set up to fail.

Maybe if the teams keep being embarassingly pathetic it will force enough uproar and Garber will finally push for a change to either MLS or CONCACAF schedule

MLS execs already have claimed that the best way for them to compete is not to alter their schedule it's for the tournament to alter its schedule around MLS.

Don't care what specifically DC or LA say, it's all the same. I agree in that I hope this results in change by MLS. I'm not even slightly angry at MLS, MLS chooses this. They deserve it.

Oh shit, this just got serious. He's retiring as the MLS prediction league champion. Maybe if the teams knew about your threat of retirement, they would've tried harder. Heck, we might have seen all 4 MLS teams win.

This is big time news, folks. You heard it here first. Admsghs27 has officially retired from the MLS Predictions League.

expansion has really stalled the progress of MLS. rosters are still far too watered down.
the scheduling hurts but sadly that issue masks the fact that MLS is still a couple notches below liga mx.

also US fans really need to realize that there is not, nor will there EVER be another legit threat the Mexico and US being the absolute dominant teams in CONCACAF. behind MX, MLS is miles ahead of any other league in region and obviously has superior resources/infrastructure

rah rah optimism is necessary to move program forward but just looks foolish without confronting the reality a little more directly - MLS and maybe too many fans and commentators collectively sweeping these results under the rug (ready for opening day!?)

It's already in the works at CONCACAF to change the schedule. All you have to do is just reverse it. Group stage in April/May, knock out rounds in Sept/October with the final before MLS play offs start.

as far as scheduling seems like could be resolved fairly easily by bumping the CCL QF round into at least mid or late March (if not April) and then possibly starting MLS season week or two earlier. almost 1/2 MLS cities have no weather issues at all. places like DC, philly, even NYC/NJ are going to be hit or miss.

just schedule the first couple weeks in the warmer climes. I think 3 games into season would be enough. Obviously teams who have qualified need to gear up a little early and also get a couple full-throated "friendlies" in before season starts. 2 meaningful pre-season games + 3 regular season is plenty

problem solved
