The big game is here one of the biggest World Wide!! History can be made tonight if tigers wins.. Also 2 potential players that could of played for USA will be there. Torres on the bench for tigres and one that could of been Funes mori starting for River. Anyways I think Tigres wins it 2-1 in a really intense game... History will be made tonight!!!

Disappointing, I really thought Tigres was going to tie it up.

Shows the progress of Mexican soccer though. And damn, Damm is fast.

MLS won't be able to compete in this until a 4th DP is added!

A lot of people talk about the decline of the Argentine league but I think it's quite exaggerated. Two Libertadores in a row and a Sudamericana in between. I think the three best teams in the western hemisphere are River, San Lorenzo, and Boca. I think it's indisputably the sixth best league in the world, even with the new 30 team format. There are so many good Argentine soccer players that adding ten teams from the second division doesn't make it all that much worse. Even if there's no team as good as, say, Ajax or Porto, week-in week-out the competition is better than anywhere else in the world outside of the big five. In countries like Portugal, Holland, and Turkey, there is a huge drop-off after the top three teams or so but this isn't the case in Argentina.

It doesn't matter who those four DP's are, a soccer team is only as strong as its weakest player. The MLS won't compete until our youth system and coaching improve and, most importantly, the culture grows (young kids start playing pickup soccer the way it's played in other countries). The average American player, despite being a good athlete, is utterly lacking in skill and intelligence. And they will always make up the bulk of the league.

Yup been the best Defender for them can play anywhere in the Back line... I know Jurgen consulted with him and his brother a few years back but they said they want to play for Argentina well Funes Mori will likely be in the mix he is a great Defender. Heck i would take him over Fabian or any defender we have right now.. He will get Huge offers from big euro clubs... Funes Mori Already play for the National team also...

But Tigres were scared and intimidated tonight... Atmospheres and home field makes a huge difference specially in South America...

What ?? Thas what I meant.. both were developed here but somehow mori is not eligible for USA ?? Anyways he knows he is that good and can be a star for Argentina... Rumors are his transfer is at least at 31 million Euros!!! Way more than any MLS player would get here in a loooong time!!!

They had a green card or permit i believe similar to Darlington Nagbe, freddy adu something like that... It was reported a few years ago they both were eligible to represent USA under some circumstances.. But Ramiro Funes Mori defender for Champion River plate decline because Tata Martino said he wants him and will be a big part of the team in the future, he called him our next star replacement for Pablo Zabaleta / and or Martin Demichellis or anywhere in our defense....
