Not sure even JK will be able to stick with Jozy if he continues his downward spiral. Even before the Red card it didn't look like Jozy was interested in the game, everyone was running hard and Jozy was jogging around.

I am interested in who folks think could be a suitable replacement for him until he finds his form again.

I personally would like to see Charlie Davies get a look, I believe he has earned it

Not saying Jozy should still be out there or anything but the red card should have no bearing on any decision. It was the case of a veteran defender getting under his skin and Jozy over reacting. Thousands of players do that every week.

Morris should be the focal point at forward along with Wood. If we gave those two the same amount of time and energy we've invested in Jozy we would truly have a forward combo that could get something done on the international level. I'd love to see that combo up top for the 2018 WC.

Amarakwikwakwkaka lol. Like a Chuck D. Of course Charlie Davies. I wonder what changed him so much. From 2010 to now, different players. He was fast and killing it vs Algeria and Ghana. He would run at defenders. Now, he doesn't even run.

I think johansson will be our true #9 going Forward specially if he plays good in Germany when or if he goes then no doubt he will be our main guy up top i thought he played well during the Gold cup, also he is only 24 still young and learning, wood is 22 and is on his way up. Can't wait til Morris turns pro to see how he fares in a professional environment day in and out. Also Wooten will get his chance soon and another player not many are talking about yet is Terrence Boyd when healthy he is really good probably the Best Athlete we have can't wait to see him back in the field.

Amarikwa is an INCREDIBLY skilled forward, he just doesn't have the goals on his CV to advertise his inclusion. The guy is just ridiculous. The other detrimental factor is that he's 27 going on 28 this October, it seems like yesterday I was watching him play thinking he could potentially fit in our team.

ugh, as always kids, don't be a fool stay out of school

lol, i was trolling with that last one.. well, maybe only a little...

Not the red per say but his form in General has been poor not only in the Gold Cup but with his club as well. I think the red was just insult to injury. I have been thinking of a replacement for Jozy for awhile.

He was strolling back/offside on many plays in Frisco as well, I thought, thats what he usually does.
Shows quite a bit of disinterest.

I just don't get why people keep saying ArJo played well in the Gold Cup. Just false. He made some good runs, but ultimately his final touch failed him. He scored one goal...against Cuba. Other than that he barely had a good shot on goal.
I also find it funny that people write off Jozy that he is finished and say ArJo is still young...Jozy is only 1 year older than ArJo at 25. So is ArJo going to be too old to get better next year? (FYI people have been saying that about Jozy that he is finished for 2-3 years now).

News flash:::
Jozy, ArJo, Boyd, Agudelo, Wood, and Morris are ALL young, can ALL improve still.

I think one of the worst things that can happen developmentally for any sports player is constant change.
So in Soccer constantly playing with a new team each year is bad for development, particularly when they go out on loan and don't pick up playing time. So yeah Jozy has been on the scene for awhile, no doubt. But do you wonder why the best he has looked for the USMNT is when his team was somewhat stable?
With the NYRB for 3 years, after that 3rd year is when he went to Villareal, but he also had his 2nd best season with the USMNT (6 goals). Then he gets 2 years in AZ and starts to cement himself there and guess what he has his best year with the USMNT (8 goals). Even his 2 years in Sunderland his form with the USMNT was still good, his goals weren't quite as much as he was injured at times.

Other than that he he hasn't spent more than a year with any team and his form with the USMNT suffered.

Best thing for Jozy is to stay in Toronto until after 2018 WC. His form will be much better then. Same thing with ArJo, Wood, Morris, Agudelo, Boyd, etc. If these guys can find a club and stay with it until after 2018 World Cup, it will do WONDERS.

Could of had more goals also had a legit goal taken away vs Haiti. Looked much better than Jozy.

I'd like to see that Bjorn maars Johnsen guy get a look if we are just talking about a physical presence up top.

I dont like AJ at all. I dont care if he tears it up in holland, with the USA he really doesn't shine. Not even concacaf. He could be like Hugo Sanchez.

so ArJo looked the best he has looked in a USMNT uniform and scored 1 goal against Cuba. Jozy looked the worst he has looked in a USMNT uniform, (coming off an injury), and you are going to use THAT as the measuring stick to say ArJo is better than Jozy?

Be real. Heck even at AZ Jozy's best season makes ArJo's best look pedestrian. ArJo best 4 game run in the USMNT saw him score 1 goal against Cuba. Altidore's best 4 game run saw him score like 5 goals (against the same competition...Concacaf...although it was the Hex, so he didn't have the luxury of playing against CUBA).

fucking hater dude. Don't blame that guy, not his fault our player's play like shit. The only players that play well is Johnson, Dempsey, Jones, Johansson, and Bedoya. Other than those players mentioned no one else does it.
