So now that we have seen 2 games what are the changes that JK will make going into the K.O rounds.
What changes would people like?

1 - Zusi for Corona
Considering what Zusi has done which is not much it cant hurt to bring corona and see if he offers something. Doesnt mean he will play but again Zusi just doesnt bring anything up to this point. With Bedoya coming back from injury the work rate that Zusi brings comes with Bedoya
2 - Ventura for Besler
Good future player but i just dont see him playing against Costa Rica or Mexico. Shaky against Honduras with Besler coming in it just bring another depth player that can come in and do the job since he has played for us a good while now whether one of our defenders gets a suspension or can start whoever of our CB is in better form.
3- Wondo for Morris Personally think morris is a bigger impact player than wondo. He runs and runs for days and can score and has pace. Against Mexico or Costa Rica in a semi or Final that can be vital if we are down or need a goal. Coming of the 70th min and even maybe extra time.
OR - If Morris is still injured or wont be able to recover fast enough before semis or final
3 - Agudelo for Jozy - Jozy apparently still carrying a knock. With that been said its pointless if he is going to play the way he has up to this point. Agudelo has much more movement. Can get physical and can win headers. He might not be as strong as jozy but we have seen with NE that he can play up top alone and do a good job not to mention he is more technical than Jozy. Besides Jozy shouldnt be playing considering the way he has played.
4 - Garza for Brek?
Garza was abused against Haiti seems like pace isnt his thing although he hasnt been too bad I would think you want Fabian Johnson up in the midfield where he can combine in the attack? At least I would since he has quality going up into the attack. Also I doubt you make Beasly come out of retirement for nothing? Good things happen when FJ is in the attack.

5 - Morales for Beasley or Kitchen or nothing happens???? This one im not sure about but is Morales ready if Beckerman goes down? or gets suspended? Mix isnt a CDM but Bradley could be brought back down but considering how he can look driving the attack this one is a tough one can you put Ream at CDM. I put this considering Brek doesnt do a good job then Besley who has done well at LB can still provide excellent cover. If not you could bring back down FJ? This is more of a question because can Brek if he comes defend is he healthy? or is Morales good enough those are answered in camp by JK. We all know what kitchen can bring seeing play in DC.

Morris isn't going to be available. He had surgery and the recovery process can take up to 5 weeks.

To be honest I don't see many changes happening.

As much as I am looking forward to seeing Beasley, the fact that you can swap out six players midway through a tournament is really stupid.

Based on the performances so far I'd go with the following changes:
1) Agudelo for Wondo (Wondo is worthless against the higher levels of CONCACAF)
2) Beasley for Garza (would allow Fabian to play RB)
3) Corona for Zusi
4) Besler for Alvarado (maybe, but I could see Alvarado sticking around)

Since Morris is out after surgery I do not expect him to be apart of this GC. Hope he's back to full strength by Olympic Qualifications.

One I can see if needing a late impact player is Gordon for Jozy.

Yeah, I know it's a crazy f*cking idea, but the dude got another great one last night against Club America. He's amazing. Who would you rather have come on needing a goal with 15 minutes left?

I was thinking Gordon that would be interesting. Dont think Jozy should be playing if he is injured. Wondering if it would translate but most players in concacaf are short he would be quality with Gonzo in the corners.

I was going to post the same thing. For whatever reason Jozy is really out of sync..way off form. I'd send him home and bring in Gordo for some late game box crashing.

I'd bring in Besler and Beas...and release Evans and Garza...that would be it.

JK making it pretty clear that we shouldn't expect to see Besler called up after tonight.

"If you look at the two left center backs with John Brooks, who (took) a huge, huge step in the last year, and also Tim Ream, who played a tremendous season with Bolton, we felt like both deserved to be in here at the expense of Matt right now,"

You'll all forgive me if I suspect that Besler and Feilhaber are under-valued by Klinsmann for personal reasons, right??

I think it's worse for Feilhaber, too. Right now, if MB went down, there would be some kind of monkey-business with some combo of Diskerud, Dempsey and Bedoya, or they could bring in Corona or Nguyen. The idea that Feilhaber can't beat any of them out as a #10 or #8 is a head-scratcher.

For Besler, at least with Ream and Brooks you can just take your pick among the 3.

I suppose that the deeper the US system gets, the more these debates come up.

I was a huge supporter of Besler post WC when the 2018 WC nonsense kicked off around here. That said he hasn't looked great for SKC pretty much ever since. He probably rubbed Juergen the wrong way with his jab about form back in January but he's not doing himself much service with his play in MLS. Hard to argue with Juergen that Brooks and Ream should be ahead of him at this point.

Besler's form was off earlier in the season, possibly due to injury. He has looked good for a while now. Imo he's our second best CB behind Brooks. I would have no qualms playing both of them together. They're both fine with their off foot...I do feel there is a bit of JK putting Besler in his place after the January camp thing.

Hopefully not too far down the road Miazga is brought in...I like his overall game a lot and think he has the potential to surpass Omar and Alvarado. Very solid 1 v 1 with excellent lateral movement and quickness for a CB...Dominant in the air. We need to lock him in soon.

Besler ran his mouth. See ya. Brooks and Ream are better LCB anyway.

Klinsmann wants a tight ship and players to completely buy in. Any questioning of that no matter the circumstances results in the player being dropped. Feilhaber is a pretty talkative person so it wouldnt have surprised me if he said something to challenge klinsmann which is a nono in his book. Landon Donovan talked about how he felt his body wasnt nessecarily 100 percent out wasnt called up for the world cup. Clarence Goodson publicly said that Jurgen Klinsmann never gave him an explanation
for why he wasnt picked never picked again after the world cup. Eddie Johnson was known for having an attitude then when his production dried up he wasnt going to the world cup. Matt Besler questioned klinsmann in january then about the need to be fit and hasnt played a minute since. A lot of what makes Juergen Klinsmann as a coach is confidence in his ability to coach and his players to responding to his confidence with their very best. People who like klinsmann as a coach will respond that this attitude has worked well for the team. People who dont will call it narcissistic. And people in the middle will say he could be a little bit more flexible.
