My guess is Juergen decides to experiment more tomorrow...whether it is mad scientist experimenting

Yarborough
Alvarado, Brooks, Ream
Yedlin, Morales, Beckerman, Zardes (or FJ)
Mix
Altidore, ArJo

Or just small experiments to get everyone some minutes

Yarborough
Yedlin, Brooks, Alvarado, FJ
Zardes, Morales, Mix, Davis
Altidore, Wondo

A rest for MB90 and Deuce.

As for swapping out players, only Beasley for Garza for me.

Davis isn't on the team. He got "injured" and was replaced by Garza before the start of the tournament. He immediatley went back to Houston and played a full 90 for the Dynamo, hence the quotations.

Agudelo should never come in for Wondo. Not anymore. You can't take out a guy who has earned his spot and give it to Agudelo. He has been passed by Zardes, wood, and Morris.

How has Wondo earned his spot? He's one of the least effective strikers/players within the US Player Pool. He may be good at his club, but he is crap at the international level.

This is the Gold Cup. What have we learned about Wondo? He scores goals against lesser teams and gives it his all. He won the Jurgen sweepstakes. I'm not in total agreement with Ham but let's not act like Wondo hasn't done this before.

I expect to see the following:

Guzan
Chandler-Alvardo-Brooks-Fab
Morales
Yedlin-MB-Zardes
Dempsey-Aron

If Jurgen thinks that back 4 is his best then he needs to put them together to get them minutes. Lets let Morales see if he can handle that role. We know Mixx cant. Give Aron a shot up top and if he falters we can turn it over to Zardes/Dempsey with Mixx or Bedoya at midfield.

Sub out MB at the half for Mixx. Hopefully Bedoya can put in 30 minutes or so as well

@dave- a little over the top there guy. Wondo was joint top scorer (5) with donovan last Gold Cup. I don't care about the quakes or anybody's club this is team USA, only the best (right now, not the future)... I used to think Agudelo was good too, but he's not that special. I'd rather see Charlie Davies if we are calling in a Rev.

Regarding the actual game I would like to see:

Altidore/Johansson
Bradley
Morales/Zardes
Beckerman
Fabian, Brooks, Alvarado, Chandler
Guzan

Subs: Wondo (Jozy), Mix (Bradley), Bedoya (Johansson)

Prediction:

USMNT 2 Panama 1. ArJo and Zardes the goal scorers.

Honduras 1 Haiti 2.

Haiti with the shock win and comes out of the group in second place.

Honduras eliminated.

Panama waits to see if they clinch a spot as a third place team.

Personally We need to start Guzan and whatever back 4 JK is planning on being THE back 4 for the Knockout stages. They need to get time together.

Pretty sure he is looking at Johnson-Brooks-Gonzo/Alvarado-Chandler
SO go with that against Panama. None of them will have played more than 2 full games and will have 4 full days of rest before the 1st knockout stage game.

Bradley is a beast, I'm not worried about him, think he'll be ok. But I might sub him off at 60' depending on how the game is going.

I'd like Morales and Bedoya (if healthy enough) to play. They are the only 2 who haven't played yet this Tournament.

Sit Dempsey and give him the day off. I'd probably sit Altidore too. Maybe bring Altidore on as a 2nd half sub depending on how the game is going.

Zardes is so much better as a wing. Maybe go to a 4-3-3 and have Zardes-Wondo-Arjo as the front 3 with Mixx-Bradley-Bedoya/Yedlin as the Midfielders. Bring Morales on for either Mixx or Bradley. Start Bedoya and sub him out with Yedlin at 60' (or vice versa).

Personally would like to see a line up full of fringe players. Players like zusi, altidore, alvarado.... give rest to dempsey, bradley just no need to play if we already topped the group. Last for these players to make statement if they have it or not after all there will be changes come k.o rounds

Wait...Altidore is a fringe player? Fan Delusion. Fans may not like him and may want him to be a fringe player. But Altidore is FAR from a fringe player. He is a "key" player to JK (his words).

I'm a known Jozy cheerleader but times can change. Jurgen does want to lean on him and give him every chance but if Jozy keeps going at this pace, he may find it hard to get in the team for copa2016.
I admit he's been worse than normal but he will turn it around. He can strike the ball with the best of them- I think he scores tonite.

-Zardes - Bradley - Bedoya-

------ Morales ----

Fabian - Brooks - Gonzo- Yedlin-

--- Yarbrough --

Subs- Jozy - Mix - Alvarado.

If Juergen doesn't cap tie Morales tonight or in any other Gold Cup game there is a chance that he plays at RFK in September... in a Peru jersey.

I'd hate to lose him but that would be one hell of a heel turn.

Also, I am not reading this anywhere it's just speculation given that he wouldn't be cap tied and expressed interest in Peru before he was called up by the US.

I get that and agree. But there is no way in any possible form that Jozy is a "fringe" player at this moment.

Sure everyone at some point in their life will be a fringe player (if they are ever good enough to play for the national team). But 2015 Gold Cup, Jozy in JK's mind is far from a fringe player.
