Interesting and unlikely scenario time...

If T&T beat Mexico and Guatemala thrash Cuba, it comes down to goal difference and there is a chance Mexico finishes third

While over in group B if El Salvador manage to beat Jamaica and Canada score a fluke goal to beat Costa Rica, Costa Rica are then bottom of their group and out.

In Group A if we beat Panama and Haiti manages to beat Honduras (though both teams may end up playing with 9 men they way they tackle), Honduras finish bottom and Panama are eliminated on points.

So, in this scenario...

Group A: USA, Haiti,
Group B: El Salvador, Jamaica, Canada
Group C: T&T, Guatemala, Mexico

And I have no idea who plays whom in the QF's if all this happens

Know Nothing, I love the fluke goal zing to Canada. Given that they've gone 872 minutes since their last goal that wasn't a penalty (and they only have 2 of those) in Gold Cup play, it's kind of deserved (much as I am fond of them from having lived there).

Marcel De Jong scored against Costa Rica in 2009. In 9 2/3 Gold Cup games since, no goals except DeRosario's two from the spot in 2011.

dont think they get through jamaica just better team with Copa America experience on their belt while El Salvador cant keep up for 90 mins and full of inexperienced youngsters. Wont be shocked if they do well in the gold cup they look to have potential. if Zelaya was still there man was he good but he f'ed up.

Wow, that really loads up our side of the bracket. I suppose the Guatemala v Jamaica is supposed to be Guatemala v El Salvador?

I believe you noted you thought they were second favorites, and maybe they will finish second, my point at the time was simply that there was no reason from past results to believe they should be second favorites, Costa Rica and Jamaica are better on paper. I give their new guys credit for playing reasonably well to date, and we'll see what happens in Toronto tomorrow.

Haiti has outplayed Honduras in the first 15 minutes and they were rewarded with a well deserved goal.

Honduras is in trouble. Playing into haiti hand will get more chances on the counter as honduras start to push
remember that this team dominated the US when they were pushing for their goal

Who is this British color commentator that keeps going on about how teams should have time outs?

Honduras in deep trouble had a better second half but have been so wasteful with the chances being created. Honduras has a lot of good pieces but they really miss Bengston this tournament need somebody who can score the many chances they are creating. Haiti is the real deal have really impressed me this tournament Nonzon especially has impressed me.
