I will say this. Mexico has a terrific bonafide young talent in Jesus Corona. Kid has something special.

Yup, he went all joga bonito on CR in that 2nd half.

gotta keep and eye on those yellow cards they might pick up in the panama games. Who is on a Yellow for Mexico?
Vela, Perarlta, J Dos Santos, some other players that i forget.
Could see them struggle with panama physical like T&T and get suspended if they make finals

I hate when some people say Ohh they were the better team and deserved to win.. At the end of the day you gotta EARN it.. Unfortunately Mexico got it in a gold platter.. Costa Rica just got Concacaf'D. $$ Talks.... Mexico in a final will fill up the stadium and will sell tickets at record prizes... Your Welcome Concacaf!!!!!

Yeah, looked like Corona could skin a solo defender at will...seemed 50-50 that he could beat a double team...that guy is going to be a pain in the ass to play against.

So is panama a bigger challenge for mexico? Def have looked better than costa rica and even if it was a weaker squad they did beat mexico in the semis 2 yrs ago. Also outplayed t&t who tied mexico 4-4. Their problem is maintaining a lead

Makes me hate Mexico even more. Yeah, if Donald Trump is president, Mexico won't have enough fans to fill a high school stadium. I know that is bad but if there is one national team I cannot stand it is Mexico and their wannabe fans. I have never understood how a people has so much pride for their country yet want to be here. I have no intentions on living anywhere but the U.S.

IMO, Panama are going to be a much tougher challenge than Costa Rica. The Ticos never looked good in their group stage games. They really need to get back with their Colombian coach Jorge Luis Pinto. They have the talent, just need him pulling the strings again.
Panama, on the other hand, is a team playing well right now. They are not afraid of Mexico and know how to play them. I see Panama beating Mexico.

So when you said that El Salvador deserved to win against Jamaica, were you hating yourself after?

Match Fixing is alive and well. Mexico not winning . . lets extend stoppage time way beyond what it should be. . .still not winning. . time for the phantom penalty call, ref was salivating that Mexico finally managed to get a player in the Box and flopping

As bad as a call that was. If Costa Rica cleared the ball on any of the three attempts they had a foot on it the ref would have blown the whistle and it would have been in Pks.

Also if you were a betting man you would have put money on Mexico to win in PKs. There goalie was much better all night, and is better in general, and they have much more talent. I know anything can happen but lets not pretend CR would have definitely won had that call not been made. Still would have likely been Mexico.

Even though he allowed both teams to play, he refereed himself into a corner when he did not brandish a second yellow card to a few players (2 CR one Mex). He rightly, and thankfully, carded that #$%^ Campbell for diving, so he would have also had to have carded the Mexican player (Peralta I believe) for embellishment if he did not call the PK.

Crappy way to end a hard fought game, but if the ref was not so insistent in not showing a red card, I believe the game would have ended 10 on 9 or 9 on 9 and with that amount of space Jesus Corona would have had a field day.

Dude said Haiti 'deserved' to win against Jamaica too. Little sister got a hold of his account again I guess.

Jamaica always gives the USA a game. I like their shape this tournament. Gonna be tough to break down. To the untrained eye it may look different.

Panama beat Mexico at this stage of the tournament in 2013. I remember being shocked it wasn't a USA-Mexico final. I won't be shocked this time. I think Blas Perez and Luis tejada are licking their chops at that suspect backline of Mexico. Long ball city. I still like Mexico to win- after that call you know the suits want to see USA-Mexico. I'm gonna say it now. I do too. We have a chance to really push them down, while being champions at the same time. I know USA won't overlook Jamaica, and it's hard to believe Mexico will panama either.

2 bruisefests. Staying away from injuries and red cards are important but not as important as a win.

helps that defenders in CR were tired and cramped up.

That's not giving Corona enough credit. If we had a player that could dance around with the ball like that we'd all be going nuts right now.
