It is basically WWE; I am following Battleground too and can't tell the difference between the products.

Is concacaf corrupt? Absolutely

Was that call a result of the corruption? Probably not, those calls happen all the time in MLS how do we expect them not to happen in the gold cup.

Proof the concacaf is corrupt: won't do anything to stop Mexican fans from throwing trash at players on the pitch when it happens all the time. If this happens elsewhere in the world they'd be playing in empty stadiums for their qualifiers. Concacaf does nothing to stop them over and again.

That play reminds me of three plays two in baseball and one in football. The holy roller cost the Chargers a playoff lost when the Raiders did a ford lateral and it was called a fumble on three occadsions. The 85 call at first base in game 6 where the Umpire called the Royal safe and it led to the tying run score. Called out which he was by two steps and the Royals do not win the Series. Then in 07 Matt Holiday still has not touched home plate, they win the game and the Rockies go onto the World Series.

That was an awful call though. You take a win any way you can get it, but the players from Mexico should not have celebrated like that and when they see the replay should be embarrassed by how they won

I totally agreed with Dr. Joe...Ref called a good game, allowing for the boys to play a bit letting stuff go on both sides....but that PK call was atrocious...even if the linesman blew the call, the ref should have overruled him.

Yes, we're all disappointed in the result (some have blinding rage that results in all caps), but can anyone disagree that Mexico was by far the better team on the night?

That's what makes soccer great though, the 'better' team doesn't always win.

I will say this. Mexico has a terrific bonafide young talent in Jesus Corona. Kid has something special.

I wouldn't at all say "by far". Slightly better sure, but there were very long stretches of that game where CR was clearly out playing Mexico. It's a shame the game had to end like that.

helps that defenders in CR were tired and cramped up.
