They fired Pearson for...Preki?

It's unbelievable. A massive accomplishment for US soccer, even if it's a dual-national. Would've preferred a more 'real 'murican' like Coach Bob to be the first, but still, it's great to hear.

What makes one a real American?

Congrats to Preki if this actually does come to pass.

Saw this on Sky Sports. The bookmakers lowered his odds (more than likely posted odds for the first time) after a number of bets were received. Good luck to him if it comes to pass, but whoever takes the job may be walking in to a hornets nest as the way they gelled at the end of the season the players were certainly behind Pearson.

Saw on the BBC gossip page this morning that Claudio Ranieri is inserting himself into the conversation, with the BBC stating "Former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri, 63, has said he would listen to any offer Leicester City made him but claims he is still awaiting contact."

Bookies have Preki as the favourite, err, favorite.

From the odds article, "Bookmakers reported a string of bets which made them decide to slash their odds on a man that has never been linked with any job in England before now and there is no official confirmation that Preki is indeed coming to City in any capacity."

Drat, I had Ted Lasso returning at 1000 to 1, in a package deal with his vaguely familiar half-English wife managing Leicester City WFC.
