Bradley's 100th Cap. I wanted to get that into the thread title.

Is Bedoya slightly injured? I was surprised not to see him tonight. I think Zardes over Zusi and Alvarado over Omar will be the two changes to tonight's starting lineup.

I believe that we have four dual nationals that we have a chance to cap tie in this tournament:

Morales
Alvarado
Garza
Yarbrough

You gotta think that klinsmann rested beckermann and bedoya for a reason...
Zusi seem to play his way off of the line up
Individually all 4 CBs played well I thought. But klinsy seems to like brooks. So it's finding his partner. Can't tell if it should be Gonzalez or Alvarado.
Chandler scares me. I would like yedlin to play rb but...
I think having zardes and yedlin coming off the bench would be mean.
Lastly I may get crap for this but when the game is tight and closed in, I'd take wondo over altidore and johansson. Wondo always seems to combine better.

Wondo -deuce
Diskerud bradley. Bedoya
Beckermann
Johnson brooks Alvarado chandler
Guzan

Zardes - diskerud
Yedlin - bedoya or chandler
(deuce - Gonzalez or ream would like to switch over to 3-5-2 but it probably won't happen lol)

I think we'll see the following

Jozy-deuce
Mixx-MB-bedoya (I'd prefer yedlin or zardes over mixx)
Beckerman(he practically said kb will start)
Fab-brooks-Alvaro-chandler
Guzan

I think Omar was given a chance to show if he could take Alvaro's spot. Same with zusi. Neither showed anything.

I think having KB in the destroyer spot will be huge for Bradley. We've seen that when KB is on the pitch, Bradley just plays better because he is confident in KB back there. Here's what I want to see:

Deuce - ArJo
Zardes - Bradley - Bedoya
Beckerman
Johnson - Brooks - Alvarado - Chandler
Guzan

Bedoya isn't match fit. Yedlin for me.

Stone posted that lineup with Mix for Zardes a couple of weeks ago in the 23 for the Gold Cup thread. I'd love to see it (with either Mix or Zardes as LM) but I can't envision Juergen starting Johannsson over Altidore

Klinsmann was not pleased with the performance against Guatemala but he singled out a few players for their positive play: Johnson, Brooks, Alvarado, Chandler and Bradley. He then praised Zardes' offense before saying his defense is a work in progress. Reading into those comments I reckon Juergen has given us a strong hint into his back line for Tuesday.

He also praised Yedlin. He wasn't pleased with the Deuce or Altidore. Those two guys need to step up. I wouldn't be surprised to see Zardes eventually move to striker. Bedoya, Fabian, or Yedlin on the wings and Garza at LB.

My lineup prediction for tonight's game.

Altidore Dempsey

Bradley

Diskerud Zardes

Beckerman

Johnson Brooks Gonzo Yedlin (he will probably start Chandler to my dismay)

Altidore Dempsey
Bradley
Diskerud Yedlin
Beckerman
Johnson Brooks Alvarado Chandler
Guzan

Zardes or Garza will be 60' sub. Depending on how the game is going.
If we need offense, then Zardes for Diskerud. If we are up and need more defense than Garza to LB, Johnson to LM and Diskerud/Dempsey/Altidore out.
If Altidore/Dempsey still aren't linking well one of them will come off and ArJo or Wondo will come on (sometime from 60' to 80')
Those will be the "planned" subs.

Anything else will likely be a time wasting thing after 80', or an injury/resting sub.

Most people giving Alvarado the start over Gonzo. I don't think he has played well enough to bump Gonzo but it only matters what Klinsmann thinks. I do think Chandler gets the start at right back

Perhaps not tonight, but Jurgen could always opt for his "experienced" back line of Ream/Gonzalez. I know we all see Brooks as the #2 lock on the team sheet after il capitan... But he may not play every game.

Jurgen did go out of his way to praise the back 4 of Fabian, Brooks, Alvarado, and Chandler the other day in his post match quotes. I wouldn't be surprised to see sir Mix a lot riding the bench either. He hasn't been that great to say he's a guaranteed 90 minute player.
