Don't think we see many Changes vs Honduras. The most likely one i see is Bedoya for Zusi and possibly BKM for Mix that's about it. As of now he would stick with Zardes off the Bench unless we have mixed results vs Honduras then he would make more changes the fallowing game.

Bradley, Fabian, Yedlin, brooks, played well.

Mix and avarado played ok

Dempsey should be a 70th min sub when we are behind

Jozy should be on the bench and maybe not in the 23-he has had way to many chances

zardes should be up top to play the jozy role

Zusi-at this point why bother-being a step slow against these teams is no good-we have to many younger options coming

omar-lets move on but good to have in the 23

Ream lets try him at right back

I didn't see the game so I'm probably talking out of my ass, but it sounds like the typical over-reaction. NFW Zardes is better on the wing than Zusi. 12 months from now maybe. Or, sure a couple more good games for the Nats by Zardes then maybe. And I am a big fan of both players (Zusi, because he flat out kept improving and he was solid (not great) in the WC; Zardes, because of his great attitude and constant improvement).

Everything doesn't just change after one half of football. And things don't change for a country after 1 WC. It's amazing the lack of historical perspective in these forums.

Zusi is slow and garbage. He slowed the pace of the game down big time! He shouldn't be on this roster. He's having a shit MLS season too!

I think Zusi has had some good moments but in all reality Zusi will start to get phased out with Nagbe coming into the fold and Gyau getting healthy again.

We'll see what happens up top. JK basically called out Deuce and Jozy...he'll probably give them another shot to get it right...but he'll probably makes changes if he sees Deuce dropping deep off the forward line into midfield...leaving Jozy alone up top... and/or Jozy walking around.

As big as he is Jozy is not a good box forward in a closed game. He has a better chance of being effective in open space.

Hopefully Deuce and Jozy give us something to get excited about.

I have a weird feeling one of the forwards is going to pick up a strain and we'll add Gordo for late game box crashing.

With Wondo's 10th goal, he moved into 20th place on the All Time US scoring record (tied with Eddie Lewis). 10 goals in 28 caps, 20th place all time isn't too shabby.

I'm guessing for the Gold Cup that Beckerman will be the DM. Bradley clearly plays better with him back there.
Also I think Dempsey is going to be told to stop dropping back and taking away from Bradley. If he doesn't then I think he will become a sub.

Not looking at just the Guatemala game, I don't think the problem is Jozy/Dempsey pairing as much as it is Dempsey as a striker with Bradley. It's essentially like playing with 2 CAM's.
Dempsey/Bradley/Altidore combo worked when we were going with the 4-2-3-1 last summer and Dempsey was coming from more of a wing position. He wasn't occupying the same spots as Bradley. I've always thought when it comes to the USMNT Dempsey has always been better as a Wing that cuts inside, etc. I just don't think he is a CF/SS with the USMNT.

What I would like to see against Honduras (won't).
ArJo - Altidore
Dempsey - Bradley - Yedlin
Beckerman
Fabian - Brooks- Alvarado - Chandler
Guzan

We will likely see Zardes on the Left and Dempsey up top and ArJo coming off the bench.

Also this talk of Zardes. I'm just not impressed with him as a Striker. Just lacks finishing touch right now. It will be a very frustrating game to watch if he starts up top.

Was at the game..
couple of observations here:
Zusi... Was pretty poor. Was that his first start since the WC? Looked like it. I am not a Zusi hater by any means, but he did not have a good game...at all. Not sure why he started.
Fabian was gassed about 30-35 mins in. I mean dead! I know he was getting forward A LOT. But his fitness did not look top notch.
I don't even know what to say about Gonzo. He has moments, but it seems like his poor moments happen much more often. Should not be in the first XI.
Zardes! Man oh man. I like this kid more everytime I see him. Thought he barely put a foot wrong. Yes, Wondo had to be in the right place at the right time.. blah blah. That goal was alllll Zardes.

I would REALLY like to see the starting XI in the GC be what it was to start the 2nd half of this game.

PS DID ANYONE ELSE HAVE TO WAIT 17 HOURS TO PICK UP THEIR BAGS FROM THE "LOCKERS" AFTER THE GAME???!! truly one of the most ridiculous things I have ever seen.

His shooting can be better (and it has improved in the last 2 years by leaps and bounds).
He can win 1v1s with speed, but I'd like to see him win them with touch and deception a little more often. I haven't seen him do too many things in tight spaces.

I think he's good enough to be in the mix, he has enough versatility to mention (M/F) and he's athletic, hard-working and smart. I don't think he should take all the opportunities from other MLSers, but he should take some.

I'm actually more interested in him fighting for his spot than being a shoo-in, because I think it'll help him round out his game.
