Probably means Johnson will be moved to the midfield.

I think all teams complain or make excuses when they lose a key player including USA fans. I remember many Fans were complaining in 2011 when Cherundolo went out Injured and we were up 2-0 at the time. And Then Legend of Bornstein came in and we all know what happened next.

Morris won't be available. Had surgery today for a stress fracture in his leg. Promising young players just can't catch a break. No pun intended.

I guess they considered Davis the backup LB? Pretty pathetic if Jurgen thought he was a better option then some of the other guys.

Actually I think it says that they will move Johnson up to MF to take Davis' place, and the replaced Johnson's DF position with Garza.

I read in a interview Morris did recently that he will be turning pro in six months which is good news for sure the question is will he go to europe or choose to go with the sounders. Either option for me has its own sets of positives and negatives. Anyways now with him out and the forward line lacking speed. It appears zardes will be played on the wing based on the roster release. I think its pretty close to a lock that agudelo comes in to replace wondo after the group stage.

Sort I am selfish. I want Morris to go to Seattle to a could of years. And from what I understand is thatMorris is pretty much set on playing for Seattle before possibly going to Europe.

Hopefully that will work out with him playing for a 2nd tier club, and not sitting for a top 10 club. I'd rather go into a WC with gamers than the 16th Prince of Bench.

I have heard pretty similar Morris feels pretty comfortable with Seattle's organization. Seattle's GM has been working crazy hard to make sure he stays with Seattle. Plus his dad works for organization and he has been around sounders for quite a long time. I think it works out pretty well for Morris since Seattle and Sigi is really high on him.

I really don't want him to go to Europe unless he will be a starter for sure. I see him getting a lot of playing time with Seattle so unless he can get = or greater playing time in Europe there is no reason for him to go.

I'm glad Garza was brought in to replace Davis. Johnson will still probably start in defense, but he's a midfielder for my money.

Juan Agudelo is not a lock to come in for Wondo after the group stage @chill guy. I do agree Zardes being utilized for his speed higher up the pitch, that's a good point.

Actually the addition of Garza may actually effect Zardes the most. With Davis as the backup Fab would have started at defense and we probably see Zardes and Bedoya on the wings. Now theres a bigger chance Fab is pushed back to midfield, which squeezes Zardes out of the lineup.

I could see us go with Fab and bedoya as the wings with Zusi/Zardes (yedlin in certain instances) as backups. Wondo backing up Jozy. Zardes also would be the backup for Clint. Then you have Ream, Gonzalez, Evans, & Yedlin backing up the defense

I'm guessing the Line up Jurgen uses vs Guatemala on Friday will be the one he uses vs Honduras specially if Successful in the First half. Because in the 2nd half we will see several changes.

Don't think we will see several changes. For one we are limited to 3. Two this isn't a friendly, so what we see in the first half against Guatemala is going to be what we go with. That will be our first choice XI. and unless it goes awry, we will stay with it through the Group Stages.

I'm guessing the only scheduled sub we will see is Yedlin (provided he doesn't start). I think it is VERY clear that JK likes to use him as a 60' sub to come in and cause problems to the opposing defense with his speed. (Looking at the World Cup and the last few friendlies).

Other than that the only subs we will see are ones for people getting gassed, and or not performing.
