@msantoine- he's the guy from that age group I think could play with and hang with the u20 level, Sargent. Will it happen, probably not but he has lots of talent and could fill that need at striker.

For anyone holding onto the thought of pulisic being on this team can kiss it goodbye. Arena said anyone who is part of qualifiers won't be at this u20 World Cup. Plenty of depth but pulisic would arguably have been the best player in the tourney (maybe 2nd most behind mbappe if he plays for France)

When is the team picked? I know Zelalem is there among a few others early for training.

Let Puli go to the U20 WC...we can handle T&T at home without him and Mexico away is nearly a toss off game...we're probably going to play a defensive 4-2-3-1 at Azteca looking to grind out a road tie...do we need him for that.

Strictly for the sake of more entertaining soccer to watch, I'd rather see if he can move the needle with U20s and make everyone around him better...hopefully make a deep run in the tourney...that is a challenge which could provide value to himself and his teammates.

Would love to see pulisic and the U20 try to go win the whole world cup. That U20 defensively was excellent. Attacking wise was lacking and now hopefully they can get some of the European attackers it will be a better team on both sides of the field. If pulisic were to play they would go to a final. The only team that would stand in their way would be France with Mbappe and Dembele.

Mbappe is up in the air. If those 2 were there that french team would be scary

France u20's will be scary regardless. France is reloading again and look to be trending towards another golden generation.

France u20's won the UEFA championship without those two players.

No Mbappe for France either so that brings them back to the pack (would have been clear favorites with those two).

Almost all teams have released their roster so of course US is waiting. Why are we always last for every tourney/qualifying period.

Shalke apparently blocked the release of McKennie and Taitague (assume Wright as well?) HT BSchredder.

US press release clarified that Sargent CAN play in both the U-20 World Cup AND the U-17 World Cup. Good because U-20's need more people who can function as a strong central striker.
