IS that the England team that we handed it to during the Nike Friendlies in 2013 and 2015?

The two best teams of the tournament are in the final. Can't wait to see how it plays out.

I called Venezuela as my darkhorse to win it all before the tournament started it. Saw them play and could see they are at a different level should be a good final. Sucks that we might lose back to back to the wc champs Serbia and possibly Venezuela and in the quarters to in OT or pks.

Nope. Maybe 3 players from either of those squads are on their roster.

Well well well...the land of "no youth development" just won the whole thing. And one of my Blues scores the only goal!

Don't forget this was the first time an English team tried to win Europa in awhile too.

England went to semi's I believe in 93

Only guys who came out of that were Barmby and Butt.

England's Cook plays at Bournemouth. Will be heavy competition for Hyndman.

"Now that he's returned with a quality year in Scotland at his back, Hyndman's situation at Bournemouth is perhaps no more resolved as it was this time last year. Wilshere is gone, of course, but the central midfield is still a clogged mess for players looking to scrabble up the ladder. More dismayingly, Hyndman is perhaps not even the most in-favor young central midfielder available. Lewis Cook, just one year Hyndman's junior, is currently ripping apart the U20 World Cup with England as its fulcrum in the central midfield. Most would argue he's been England's best all-around player on their deep run into the knockouts.

This pass of Cook's to carve open Mexico over the weekend (this goal was the match-winner in the quarterfinals) was practically an air raid siren for first team minutes."

@ScoutedFtbl did a Team of the Tournament. Palmer-Brown got in the 11, Sargent and Lennon on bench.

I think it was Holden who mentioned that PSG rumored to be circling EPB. I guess they have a former Porto guy as the scouting director now.

I'm not sure about the situation there, but assume he would be somewhat far from 1st team minutes.

Credit to Admsghs27 from me personally.

I remember when he said Venezuela looked great, and I thought "really"?

I didn't see them at all.

They looked miles ahead of what I would have expected from them.

Wouldn't mind seeing our boys with full rest and full strength. Just goes to show you what a golden generation looks like. Also a team that puts their foot on your neck for the majority of the game.

so who from the u20 squad is getting a club to scoop them up off the tourney?

i'd expect at least a few players to get deals off the US' solid showing....
