I thought the team played well in the tournament. I had predicted they would lose at the QF stage. Not enough game changers in the team. But yet again it's about finding talent for the full USMNT. And I think this age group will definitely produce some ballers.

I am excited to see how well Sargent plays at the U17 WC now. He has the experience to really be the top player in that tournament.

Still think Ramos is limited as a coach.

Well then, that result was somewhat disappointing, but still pretty nice performances mostly besides this last game. Focus now goes towards the Senior Team (especially over the next couple months) and then the U-17 WC in October (which I think Sargent is going to play in, as well as an Atletico youth player at striker as well).

We didn't look great against teams that weren't trying to sit back on us and absorb pressure.

I guess missing a late wide open chance from six yards out in a 0-0 world cup game against a team that has dominated us is sort of our jam.

If Jonathan Klinsmann were an actor then this game would be his head shot. Really strong performance from him.

Nicolas Garcia-Morillo, he was on the squad to qualify for the U-17 WC, but I guess there is another striker besides him who has played plenty on the U-17 side at striker besides him and Sargent, and that is Ayo Akinola, who has plenty of goals and apps.

This team didn't under achieve and Venezuela was close enough clearly the better team but it was still a dissapointing game. Im sure fatigue from 2 less days off played a factor and it sucks knowing at the end you could have won if one late touch was better. At least we look to have found guys who potentially could help senior team after World Cup. Ccv, epb, Adams, Sargent, Lennon, dlt, jones all showed real well.

Yes, massive yes to your final point.

But Ramos did get some decisions/ w regards to talent right.

Such as Sargent etc.

I keep harping at this.

But to Derrick Jones, you have incredible skill incredible physique, but please for the love of Jah rastafari... get the ball off your feet please... in tight areas.. in close quarters

I would have liked to have seen Kunga more. But I believe he is eligible for the 2019 team as well.

Players we should see in the next cycle:

Gk: Lopez & Austin

Lopez is a long standing YNT GK and should lead this cycle, Austin is a newer call up from Tottenham.

Def: Esparza, Gruno, Jones, Uribe, Lindsey

All guys have been consistent call ups for the u18s & u17s.

Mids: Adams, Gonzalez, Carranza, Belloni, Pomykal, Acosta, Goslin, Durkin, Lederman

Midfield consist of some of the best guys in both u18 & u17 pools. I did not include Taitague because it seems Schalke isn't interested in there US players playing for the national team, also Ramos's comments on the matter prob didn't help.

Fwd: Rennicks, Weah, Sargent, Morillo, Carleton, Akinola

Fwds I hope will be lead by Sargent, but you never know. Might be killing it like Pulisic and not released or called. To me the 2000's are brining the best Fwds.

Maybe we can make it past the quarters in this next cycle...

Not yet a us citizen. Like fargundez just because he says he's working on it doesn't mean it happens in time. I wouldn't count on him and if he get citizenship it's a bonus.
