Forgot about Alonzo Clarke and Emmanuel Sabbi both could easily be in the u20 picture. Both also linked with Man U not too long ago.

Not sure if Clarke has chosen Jamaica over us yet, but a call up by Perez might help our case. But I have to say he wasn't cheering for us in the WC last summer...

There's also still quite a bit of 98s that could "pop up" I have a list, but don't want to list bc they haven't been called up by the US yet..

Antonee Robinson has been offered a pro contract from Everton. My guess is they bring him up to the U21 squad. LB has been our weak spot for every recent cycle. Maybe he can solidify that for us.

Between Antonee Robinson and John Nelson LB will not be a problem for the 2017 U-20 team.

All these lineups and little love for Kyle Scott. He has been playing a deeper midfield role at Chelsea so he isn't just an attacking mid (though that is what he is best at).

Heres a local article on Johnny Nelson and his background with the usmnt and soccer in general. Talks about how he will attend some camps hosted by Manchester United and Celtic. Hes got the talent to get signed imo no doubt.

Hope Nelson gets signed, we aren't that deep at LB. Robinson should be starter tho.

Pablo Pelaez is very good in that position and he had many looks by Euro clubs. But he decided to go the college route.

And if Scott can play the box to box, that's even better.

Not many teams can say they are three deep at LB or any position for that matter. The next U20 team will be three or four deep at LB

Now Rb on the other hand isn't looking very deep for the 2017 team.

The USSDA 17/18 year old group national playoffs started over the weekend. Lots of talent this week was on the field in Indianapolis. Many will be a part of the next u20 team.

The article writer only named a few players specifically, but did name the a few. A kid named Charly Flores from the dynamo, but the praise was for "one of the countries top playmakers, Cam Lindley" of the chicago Fire, who had a fantastic group stage. He's a special player, best that the Fire have produced yet.

The MLS academies are doing well, better than they historically have. Money well spent.

Naw that Red Bull RB product, Olosunde, has looked very impressive everytime I've seen him play. IMO, one of the better players on a very good u-17 team.

Yeah I would say Olosunde is our best bet. Very attacking RB and good dribbler. Has good size as well. Won't be surprised if he gets signed to a homegrown contract. I sure if he has a great u17 WC he will be.

Malcolm Jones should be in the mix as well. Going to UCLA.

But I would still say we look pretty light at RB. Hopefully someone pops up we're not aware of..

Yeah, finally got the Irish passport.....and they just signed (stole) Bobby Akekanye from La Masia too. Hopefully it pushes Lennon even harder. The competition across the front for the U18s is going to be stiff.

Sweet, hope he does well. This next cycle has potential to be strong if more of these players sign overseas by 2017.
