I think we win the group if we beat ecuador game 1. Then go from there.

Schalke lost to Munich and got eliminated from U19 Bundesliga playoffs. The manager previously said he'd release players once they were no longer in the playoffs. Lets see him put his money where his mouth is.

If we see an "injury replacement" we will know what was up (rumors are if Glad or CCV cant play they could bring in McKinnie in his place)

I would definitely rather have CCV than McKinnie. CBs are critical in a world cup.

The way we play. Yes. We stress them out more.

I absolutely loved waking up early in the morning catching those games in 15. It was definitely a cool feeling.

I do remember Miazga and CCV playing, to my surprise, esp Miazga who I rated below EPB at the time, basically flawlessly and no nonsense. With good physical presence.

U20's just lost Fossey to a groin injury. Are outside back situation on both sides now is shitty. Trusty was his replacement.

I still liked Acosta at LB

For some reason, ever since hte u 17 thing 2 years back, I never liked Trusty. Him and Arellano

Why exactly did we take Trusty over Matthew Olosunde? Trusty was terrible on the U-17's.

So the left back will be Danny Acosta and the right back Aaron Herrera?? Or will Tab play a more talented player (i.e. Kellyn Acosta last time) from the midfield "out of position" at RB?

As far as trusty goes, it was gonna be him if Glad or CCV couldn't go so I guess this makes sense. There's always going to be a weak point for these youth tournaments as we never get all of our players. Perhaps Man U did so no to Olosunde.

According to reports Ramos doesnt rate Olosunde very high (sounds similar to his feelings on Gooch last cycle and Wright/Akale this cycle). Ramos most have a certain style of player in his mind and if the guy cant play that style then hes out no matter what. Its probably his biggest weakness as good coaches meld the team around its talent. Bad coaches put players into his system no matter what

Looks like they won't be coming as potential injury replacements either...though this isn't exactly bad news for either of them career-wise.

I wouldnt be surprised to see Jones or Adams at Fullback to get the extra midfielder out there. If two of CC/Glad/Redding are available that pushes EPB back to the #6 role. Him and Adams in front of CCV/Glad/Redding means we can take a chance on one of the fullbacks being more offensively minded. It gets our best players on the field and just puts more focus up the middle defensively and more focus on offensive side down the flank

That's good that Wright and Mckinnie were called up to the first team. Also the coach has said that they will now be with the first team going into next season.

@msantoine- I agree I think Jones will play RB, and we will see Palmer Brown play in the midfield with Adams. That midfield duo dominated Mexico and I see something like that against a similar attacking team like Ecuador. Up top I think Ramos eases Sargent into a role with Sabbi getting first chance at striker.
What I expect to see: 4-2-3-1

------- Sabbi ------
De la T - Zelalem - Lennon
---- Adams - EPB -----
Acosta - CCV - Glad - Jones
----- Klinsmann -----
