mmee - While I agree that the MLS hypes him to much I can understand some of it...
1) Galaxy is in a major market and is a flagship franchise for the league.
2) He has talent, and is still learning to be consistent.

IMO at least the league & the Galaxy are promoting a young(ish) American player rather than an aging European player who's trying to get one last pay-day.

!. I'm a huge Legit fan. Been one since the day I saw him the 1st time he suited up for LAG. He had (has) a comfort on the ball that so few American players have (particularly, let's say, under 23 - this comfort on the ball thing is changing rapidly to the upside).

2. Aint' no way in hell he is one of our best 23 today or two years from now. Including non-MLS players of course.

3. I've never seen any of the marketing hype the league is giving him. And I don't give a shit about his FB page.

4. He didn't look as good this year w/ LAG as he did last year. I'm hoping this is because: a) he had some minor injury issues this year; and b) LAG was a bit of a shit show this year w/ Gio, Gerrard - so this probably screwed up Legit's role/position on the team.

5. I have full confidence that Bruce will make the "right" decision about Legit since no one knows him better than Bruce. Even if that means proving my dumb ass wrong and sending him to Russia18.

to point 4. I saw him play the ball well, which as a midfielder is all you can ask for

he had alot of Nagbe performances, no stats, but effective play that we need.

I feel this way, because truthfully we don't have a problem scoring goals.

We can find the playmakers the scorers in our set, we can find the defensive strength in our backline, we need people who can control the game. and give both sides of the ball some rest.

From what I found about this injury, the surgery is to insert screws or wire to lessen the gap caused by the injury. No weight on foot for minimum of six weeks, surgery follows this to remove the wire (if any used). Gradual weight bearing on injured foot happens after this general time frame. After 12 weeks, surgery is done to remove the screws from the foot and rehab of foot continues.
Obviously, we all hope he can recover quickly. However, with injuries like this to the foot, LA will error on the side of caution.

Rey, that was what LA originally thought. They sent him to the specialist to make sure it was just a foot sprain.

I'm just being silly, kudos to LA for doing their due dilligence and caring for Sebastian, I know it's expected.

Sucks, this guy was going to be involved. But Bedoya didn't look bad, so ... I can't bring myself to overwhelmingly accept Ale....

@Rey, I agree, Ale just is not cutting it for me anymore either. Definitely think Arriola can fill in better than Bedoya.

I feel awful for Lletget. It was great to see Arena select him in the starting 11. He looked dynamic...noticeable upgrade over most other nats mids. Hopefully he comes back 100%.

He should have been a Quake. He played club ball for Santa Clara Sporting. Good thing for all LA fans, the Quakes' part time GM was a complete inept fool...completely oblivious to Lletget's local SF/SJ roots...never gave him a freaking call when came back to the states... now he's nats starter quality.....that one still stings.

It is. Really eats some of our depth.

And injuries conspiring to kill LA again this year, which I'm sure many will be happy about.

This pretty much takes him out of the qualifying cycle. 4-6 months just to get back on the field puts him back around September/october. Then he has to work his form back up. I would bet we dont see him until Jan Camp 2018. Its a shame as a B squad Gold cup with him, Hyndman, Acosta, Arriola would have been a fun midfield

@MSantoine That is what I was thinking about too. This year was set up for him to solidify a place in the 23 of USMNT. I really liked the thought of him or Arriola on the right side and then either one subbed in for the other. SHITE!!!! I believe Arena knows what he can bring and will give him full benefit of the doubt to earn a place on the team when he comes back.
As far as LA Galaxy go, they have plenty of young talent that needs to step up from the bench/academy to fill his spot. It is better this happened at beginning of the season as they have plenty of chances to find the right combination and make a run into the playoffs.
