Scored a nice goal. Is this move to the Galaxy just what he needs to get his career back started and in the picture for the national team?

Maybe, but he still needs to be consistent game in and game out, week in and week out.

yeah, we'll see what's what as he plays
not every great prospect becomes a great player

meanwhile, Finlay's stock rises again, too

I feel like these players who go to these academies in Europe waste a few years of professional development. Would rather have them play MLS and then make the move. I mean that is hard to judge but a lot of these players are early developers and then make the move and realize they are just average players or just do not become the players we expected them. Expectations suck sometimes.

If Wondo has a chance with this national team then anybody does. He was definitely a late bloomer. I think Lletget, Pelosi, among others will add to our depth if they find the right situation.

Only a tool/troll like you would hate on a KID for getting his leg broke and being out for two years and expect him to play right away like nothings happened.

This kid will get a call up after gold cup. As he has become more comfortable on the pitch the Galaxy have become an offensive juggernaut. Now it helps to have Keane healthy and Zardes, but this kid wi be there this summer and I expect him to be in the Olympic qualifiers.

Lletget is to old for the Olympic qualifiers. He turns 24 in 2016. Which means he can't play in the Olympic qualifying tournament.

I see Lletget lined up on the flanks, is he really a flank midfielder, or is he a cut inside pass the ball around grabavoyish

A few thoughts about Lletget coming from going to the Galaxy game vs. Philly on Saturday. . .

I had never seen him before in person or on TV. Had only heard about him for years from some of you guys in these forums.

Anyway, I think he's really fucking good. Agree w/ the sentiment that he probably won't get back into the USMNT picture, but I will say w/ Keane back to healthy, Gerrard coming soon, and now Lletget I think the Galaxy have a chance to win it all again. Not saying they will, but I'm a lot more optimistic about their chances now.

Back to Lletget. . . He looked strong & quick. Fast too. Strong on the ball. Good skill in tight spaces, good passing. I actually didn't see anything bad about him.
I was laughing the whole time because I couldn't tell what position he was playing. He was everywhere. He just went around and found the ball. Offensively and defensively. You'd have to think his position w/ the Galaxy will be outside mid - I think that's where the need is. Husidic is passable, but Lletget would a big upgrade IMO. And it's not like he's going to take Gerrard's spot or Juninho's (who I think is one of the most under-rated players in the league). And Varynen is the depth at CM.

Oh, and I refer to him as "Legit" (tm). No one knows how to pronounce his real name anyway and the dude is legit.

Can't wait to see more of him.

Anyone else watch LA vs SJ game last night.? Keane with a hat trick and Gerrard with a goal but it was Lletget who looked like the best player.

Lletget is a talent. He may get a look with the national team sooner rather than later due to our issues on the wing. Wouldn't be surprised to see him called up in September for the friendlies against Peru and Brasil. I also hope to see Nagbe by October. All accounts say he will have his US citizenship this fall. Then he had to register go FIFA his country status.

The USMNT could have a very strong group of wing players by Copa America next summer to choose from:

1. Bedoya
2. Fabian( could also stay at LB/RB)
3. Nagbe
4. Lletget
5. Gyau
6. Corona
7. Gatt
8. Green( if he isn't with the Olympic team)
9. Manneh( by all accounts he should be getting US citizenship before the summer in 2016. He may also be on the Olympuc team).
