He had a great run with the team last season but today I'm with you. So so.I requested him Hogg when we were low on LBs lol. Another American on the field. Sonny Guadarrama from Texas baby!

I've never heard of Guadarrama, where did he come from? Looks like he's spent a lot of time in the Ascenso. 28 years old... hmm ok. He was completely off of my radar.

Joe Benny is also on the bench for Dorados.

Austin. Played in Atlante years ago. Then Necaxa most recently. And yeah ascenso mainly. Reminds me of Ibarra. Poor Joe Benny. Went down bad. Ever since Mohamed left Xolos.

He looked decent after coming on. Fresh legs, yes, but still. Plus these announcers really love saying Sonny Guadarrama.

No Americans will be starting tonight for either Tijuana or Santos. Disappointing.

Solid showing for Gil. Really loved his defensive plays and how two of them turned into counters. The brain is there, the touch, hopefully he picks up a lot this season. Tomorrow the Pachuca vs America will be a great test for OG. I think Arriola will see like15-20 mins. I thought Villafana had the spot at left back.

I'm happy to be wrong, I saw a Mexican tweet of the starting lineups and it didn't have Villafana in the Santos 11.

Gil was really solid. Looked comfortable, had an assist and just narrowly played in a ball that was ruled offside. He was all over the field and was busting his tail. He should get the next start.

Villafana has looked pretty good so far in the three game. USMNT doesnt have much depth at left back. I think he could be a surprise call up in march to back up ream if he continues to start. Gil is an interesting case since 2013 he hasnt really grown 2 much. Thats on RSL for playing him out of position and no longer starting him. When he did play in a more central role for RSL he looked good. Hopefully he can get some quality minutes he still has time to develop. Its a shame because I feel that RSL wasted a couple years of development. If they werent going to use him as much or out of position should have sold him and netted a good size transfer fee since he was in demand.

I like Alvarado is playing RB. Personally I think he can make that his position at America. He has the speed to play it.

Would like to see him there for the USMNT considering the lack of options at RB.

These Mexican players are flopping all over the field. Disgraceful.

You would have to think OG, Gil, Ventura, and any other players playing in the MX many minutes should have a shot over MLS players in March because of their rhythm. Of course European league players also. Unless is Bradley, but other than him, the other MLSrs should have the lower hand.

Alvarado keeping pace with Lozano. That tells you that Alvarado has more than enough speed to play RB.

Not enough defensive help for Alvarado on that goal. His RM does not defend.
