So I didnt realize Mexico does a crazy free for all transfer day. It effected several Yanks.

Castillo- Transferred to Monterray
Garza- Transferred to Atlas (replaced Castillo at TJ and now replacing Castillo at Atlas)
Corona- Transferred to VeraCruz.
Bornstein- Returned to Tigres.

TJ did bring in a young Mexican midfielder (former U20 Diego de Buen who hasnt made a caps and will be 24). Wonder if Arriola will step into a larger role.

Arriola is a stud, he will definitely play a larger role into TJ. I have been very impressed with him at the U-20 WC.

I read that Garza is just a year-long loan, but that was just one source that didn't cite anything official...

You're right. I read the article backwards. Instead of returning to Tigres he transferred to Queretaro on a permanent move.

I'm devastated, Liverpool had high regards for him. What's the excuse? The kid got hurt wasn't a kid anymore and now they have younger talent to replace him coming up.

He also has a European passport. That is definitely a positive.

Yeah the serious injury killed his chance at Liverpool
He was rated for a reason and LFC took a chance on him even after the serious injury says something
Most big clubs will move on and ditch serious injured prospects for new ones once they have a chance

I thought he was still highly rated even after he came back from his injury. If that was the case then there was no reason to release him. They probably felt he wasn't that young anymore and had players younger than him performing better.

I thought I saw somewhere that San Jose was looking at bringing in Pelosi.

A few of us on the BS Quake board floated the idea that it would make way too much sense to go after Pelosi. Quakes have first pick, Pelosi is on the list, he's a solid player and a lefty...and he's a local. But we all think it's beyond the scope of our GM's ability to pull it off. Still, I dream of having Pelosi and Alashe as up and coming mids.

Former US U20 FWD Alonso Hernandez made a move to FC Juarez, they are a new team playing in the Liga Ascenso of Mexican soccer in Ciudad Juarez across from El Paso, TX.

He originally started his career in Juarez with the Indios. No idea why the team folded, but he moved on to Monterrey, played some first team games at FWD in 2013. Moved back to MID on their roster for this closed season, played some games. Seems like this is a move for playing time with a team whose owners want to get into the first division of Mexican soccer.

From what i saw Pelosi wasn't that good just a very over hyped player.. Just look vs England we won without him and every time he played we lost and won all games without him. Except for Qatar which doesn't really count as a soccer team cause they suck.. I said it at the Toulon tournament we looked much better without him.
