DC United being killed by injuries Martin (groin), Farfan (hamstring), Franklin (Achilles' tendinitis), Pontius (calf), Hamid (finger) and then losing luis silva in the fifth minute. Seattle also with martins missing plus dempsey and evans for gold cup and losing their starting goalkeeper to injury. It was a pretty strange game especially after the red card looked like 0-0 for longest time then mears got a goal to win 1-0.

2 goals tonite for Ethan Finlay of the Columbus Crew. He has been excellent for the crew now going on two seasons now, and has really started to show his scoring prowess. I think Jurgen should take a good look at him. 24 years old, very fast tricky winger, kinda reminds me of a slightly slower Josh Gatt, but better scoring instincts and poaching ability. I am a Crew fan so I might be a bit bias.

yeah, he leads the league in assists and has 5 goals as well. Would love to see him get a call up after the gold cup.

I don't see why Finlay shouldn't get a call up. He is definitely in better form than Zusi. He had a good season last year and is having a career year this season.

Yep, Finaly def deserves a look after the GC. Finished last season with 11 goals and 7 assists. Nearly halfway through this season he already has 10 assists and 5 goals. I've kept an eye on him ever since he first came into the Crew and was always impressed, it was just a question of whether he'd put it all together sooner rather than later.

4 MLS players I'd really like to see Jurgen give a call up after the gold cup.

1) Nagbe
2) Davies
3) Finlay
4) Hamid

Been on the Finlay hype train for a while now thought he should have been called up in january and thought he might end up on the 35 for the gold cup list. Last year you could see the pieces coming together especially the second half of the season. Then this year he has really been sensational mls best XI potentially. September would be a good time to call him up I have heard Canada is trying to get him for their next WCQ after the gold cup.

The more I see of Alashebthe more impressed I am. I can definitely see him cracking the USMNT in the next year.

Thompson started out well, but has been mediocre the rest of the game. Still needs to develop a lot of his game:

Yeh Tommy had a howler of a second half. He has amazing skill and potential, just don't know when things will start to finally click for him.

Yeah it was interesting seeing Alashe in more of an 8 role...dude has a crazy range. I'm not a Pierazzi fan and was bummed to see him at the 6. Especially bummed to see him wait for the ball to drop to kick it instead of attacking it...Jewsbury attacks the ball and gets rewarded...just can't have a mental tune out that close to the end of a 0 - 0 game

TT has a ways to go... I'm much more excited by Alashe's potential than TT's.
