I was amazed at how much more free time I've had over the past week or so. My first thought though was feeling bad for 2tone/adms. They must've been devastated upon seeing that godaddy screen.

One interesting bit though was that I think I found rainorshine:

http://www.sbisoccer.com/2015/05/diskerud-mai...

If this is him, I've figured it out. He's so devoted to Kljestan because his name is Sasha! It all makes sense now.

Disappointing from Sciaretta though and whoever else runs this website. They never post articles anymore and forgetting to pay for the domain name is inexcusable. Time for new ownership. Honestly I was never a fan of his anyway. He's such a homer that his posts were often cringeworthy.

Not meant as an insult. You're the biggest contributor to the site, it must have been disappointing to see it disappear out of nowhere.

So true. I was almost going to write a post about this very thing last week. Then the site goes down to to not renewing. I remember when BShredder used to comment on these boards all the time. Adding some good insight as he had some connections. He also put out a pretty good article once a month or so. They also had weekly preview reviews for the yanks abroad in England, Germany, Denmark, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, Mexico, and the team that the solo yank was in (portuguese, spanish, french, etc). Then we down graded to some hired colmunists whose colmuns were poorly written and did more to turn you off then get discussion.

Now we dont get any of them. When US Soccer is being mentioned in mainstream we sometimes get an article (last one was Jozy coming back to MLS). And if its an actual national story (Zelalem getting citizenship) they mention a small article. But after the Swedish league preview nothing. They've obviously fired everyone who used to contribute for them (or if they did it for free they no longer do so) and clearly are trying to push other websites (full volley and ASN). Its really too bad because this site used to be awesome for game recaps, articles, and an intelligent message board. Now its just a message board.

I reached out to Sciaretta on Twitter (as well as a few others) and he stated repeatedly that he hasn't written for Yanks-Abroad in a long time and that he would reach out to the Yanks-Abroad peeps. Idk where the notion that BShred owns Yanks-Abroad came from, but he isn't claiming it as his.

Website is cool, but I wasn't phased. But it's nice to have it back.

That way you won't have to use the ASN comment section anymore, Anthony Ward. All this time I thought Blaise was crazy but I think your comments on ASN after YA went down prove it. Haha

With that, I will say that it is nice to have it back. Even though the site needs some upgrading.

I comment frequently at ASN. Nothing new about that.

Who runs YA and do they post here? I had a beer with a MNT journalist years and years ago and we talked about YA but I never asked him who ran it. Bshredder used to br a great source for leveling our excitement but I never thought that he ran this site.

Can I recommend that YA revert back to its old format? I use my iphone most frequently on YA and I miss all of the headlines because flash isn't supported. The old non-retating headlines didn't require flash and was much better for that reason.

Come on now, we don't need to reveal identities on here.

Who owns this site and are you willing to sell it to me? Seems like you have other things to tend to.

I might be willing to join you depending on your vision.

Apologies. I just thought it was funny because Blaise has been calling him Ward for a while now. Not sure if 2tone and Ward are the same person just thought i'd keep Blaise's "thing" going in good fun.

I apologize if i "revealed" something that wasn't meant to be revealed. And i'd have no problem sharing my twitter or other accounts. All i use them for is to connect with soccer journos and other USMNT fans. Unfortunately, where i live in California USMNT fans are hard to come by.

Blaise tends to be consistent (whether we agree with it or not). I think ASN has a crazy one in S. Sand
