I like Bobby Wood. I think he has a lot of talent. It was remarkable to see how easy he was turning and spinning off of Colombia's defenders. I don't think Wood will be with Aue next season. He is too talented to be playing in Bundesliga 3.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Morris play on the wing.

Bob Wood is the poster child for what everyone wants: super athletic and skilled American sacks up and goes abroad, and gets his hands dirty from the bottom up. Why all the hate on Bob Wood? At least this time he's been scoring and assisting. Guy has made smart runs, has good technical abitity and is built like a tank. You will learn to love him says Jurgen.
I like Wood. I just think Morris is in a zone right now and Id order the 4 as Arjo, Agudelo, Morris, Wood.
Also since its Jurgens job to get the best out of his guys, and part of that is helping them grow, he should continue to give Morris caps to help in a potential EPL move and appeal for work permit

I do have to admit though, why is Miguel Ibarra getting called up consistently?
There's definitely something Klinsmann sees in him, just don't see it myself.
I would imagine there's a good amount of MLS players who can play that role.

I haven't seen enough of Ibarra to make any type of judgement. He must be showing well in training sessions with the USMNT.

I don't see it either, but for JK it may be more of a case of sending a message to the MLS players that he is not seeing what he wants from them than it is what he sees in Ibarra.

Agree about Ibarra. I just dont get it. Youd think a guy like Bunbury would get a look over him. Bunbury was a decent prospect as a youth, got capped at a young age. Then got hurt. He seeminlgy has come back from his injury, plays significant minutes and contributes for one of the better MLS teams. He's also transitioned to wing fairly well and has been practicing with Jermaine Jones so you know he's learning some useful stuff

just want to point out that if people want to mention a winger that is not getting deserving looks, its got to be ethan finlay. hands down down finlay has been THE MOST (non-dempsey) productive US player in MLS since becoming a starter about a year ago
- 13 goals and 14 assists in less than 3000 mins.
that is INSANE production for a MF - its LD-like production

fair enough I haven't, I know last year people were saying that his production was immense and that he was a clear best player of the league candidate.
I have however watched all of his performances and I must admit that I found him underwhelming. I understand the circumstances of his being in that league as opposed to the MLS. He has his rights tied up with a team, as I understand it. But I feel that there are better candidates, Ethan Finlay being one.
And also, mine wasn't a loaded comment. I have been behind alot of Klinsmanns' moves. Not that it matters, i'm just a fan. I loved his contributions and I feel like he's earned respect for what he's done with the team. Just like Bradley and Arena before him. Just this one is kinda weird, but like 2tone said we don't see the training sessions.

Miguel Ibarra is a lesser no shoulders version of Alejandro Bedoya

Fair enough. My question wasn't a loaded one either. I don't watch many of his MNU matches. (BTW, all NASL matches are shown live on ESPN3.) I watched Ibarra's game against the Cosmos last week, though. His quality is evident, but is he really better than the next guy on the depth chart? Im not sure. Ethan Finlay has some pretty decent stats, but my guess is most of you don't watch him either. I certainly don't. And honestly, whats the difference between these players? They're mediocre, at best, and there's very little that separates them. If you call Finlay in because you think he deserves it, then has a so-so game, it's on to the next guy.

He's sucked in a US jersey, that's why. And these are the only times I (and probably most others here) have seen him.
OK, so maybe I'll "learn to love him." But I can promise you I won't start loving him before he stops sucking every time I see him play.
