Toljans dad is Death.. never knew him or any of his American family.. As a matter of fact if Germany don't work out Croatia is his 2nd option... And like I said before F### all those players that chose USA 2nd because they knew they weren't good enough for their dream country... And we have plenty of them on our current pool.. but hey everyone does it so screw it support it as long as they play good for my team. : )

I suppose someone has to beat out Rimando and no one has?
Not Hamid, huh?

Don't play Chandler on the left, please JK.

Brad Evans, really? We can't take anybody else for the experience?
Has he been playing really well at CB?
Or is he there for RB? How about Woodberry instead?

Beckerman: I assumed this means we need him for Gold Cup.

Diskerud, Zardes: I like both of them, but have they not under-achieved their way off the roster in the last few months?!?

What Id like to see as the lineup:

Aron
Fab-Bradley-Jones-Agudelo
Morales
Chandler-Brooks-Alvardo-Yedlin
Guzan

What I think we'll see.

Aron
Fab-Bradley-Mix
Jones-Beckerman
Shea-Brooks-Orozco-Chandler
Guzan

Toljans dad is Death! I guess that's not a guy you want to piss off.

Keep in mind you have to be approached by the coach or federation before you play for them. You can't just say I am playing for the US national team and be on the squad. So maybe we were 2nd choice for some of these guys because they did not know the coaches, system etc. So you grow up in Germany with a German mom and an American dad. You don't get approached by the German national setup and the USA contacts you. Are you supposed to say no I was not good enough for the German team so I should turn the US down too? I guess I am unclear why you want them to do that.

@mmee- re: Mix, Zardes

Zardes looked decent last nite. But yes they have been average an I'm not a fan of Zardes really although I support him when he wears the jersey. NYCFC is awful an most of us saw the train wreck coming. That's not Mix' fault. Both can put up or shut up- because this is their chance to show before the Gold Cup that you belong there.

Who would you have called up instead of those two?

No tears or eulogy for Omar and/or Besler. Besler has been crappy but Omar is Omar, he usually gets called in. Good for me because I fell about Omar how the rest of you feel about Wondolowski.
Zusi has been class this year though I'm surprised he was left off the roster.

JK called in a lot of bubble players for these friendlies. Trial by fire, some may not get another call if they don't do well. I fully expect Omar, Zusi, Cameron etc. called in when the 35 preliminary gold cup roster comes out.

Id have preffered Shipp or Gil over Mix. The clubs could have said no to Toulon Tourney but they couldnt to this international window. Would have been great, especially with Jones now out, to see someone besides Mixx next to Bradley

I'd like to see Ship above Gil but not over Mix. There are some garbage players on NYCFC that are bringing him down.

Rain is going to love these stats:

Erzgebirge w/ Bobby Wood starting
Goals: 15-11
Record: 5-2-2

Erzgebirge w/o Bobby Wood through injury
Goals 1-7
Record: 1-2-3

i do love it! Mojo is coming over to the dark side!...

very good to see agudelo

could come up with an amazing 3-5-2 with this group

-----agudelo----arjo----------
----------bradley-------------
fabian---morales---williams----chandler
-----alvarado--brooks--orozco------

just DREAMING of a 3-5-2 with fab and chandler at wingbacks (sigh)...

i think continuing to call mix is potentially detrimental to his short term career.
a) continuing to pull mix away from NYC is not helping them move away from expansion disaster
b) the expectations will continue to rise and once the honeymoon period is over in NYC (soon) those fans are going to turn on him if he is not producing - because JK has created the expectation that he is one of the very best US players

mix should be locked in at NYC right now. he really needs to prove he is one of better players in MLS. turns 25 this year (for comparison gil is 21) and has done nothing yet in entire club career to demonstrate he is MLS all-star quality

as for zardes - this could have been another good opportunity to take a look at wooten

Biggest thing I notice with this roster is no Morris. Which was sure to be the case as it would be a real quick turnaround for him to play 4 games in 9 days with the U-23 and then 3 days later play a game for the USMNT, and then 4 days layer play again. IE 6 games in 16 days.

Why is that the biggest thing? That is 2 more USMNT games he misses and puts his timeline for possibly getting a British Work Permit (if needed) back to like March/April of 2016. So you can forget about Morris playing 2015-16 in the UK. He may sign for another club in Europe (Eredivisie/Bundesliga please), but not UK. Unless they sign him and put him on loan for a year (always a possibility).

I too don't see why Brad Evans is back in the mix. This appears to be the death knell for Tim Ream.

You can thank his manager Neil Lennon. Probably rubbed Klinsmann the wrong way. Even though this is after the season, might have something to do with it.
