LOL at Lalas calling Chandler a lollygagger!

The German guy mentioned he thought that the US came out looking scared. I have often noticed this too. One thing I have always respected about Mexico is that they always come out with a swagger in their step. We need to start out games the same way instead of always playing the first half on the back foot.

I don't think we looked scared. I think we always have a tactic in mind that doesn't end up working so we have to end up making adjustments. How many times have you sat and watched a match against a top class opponent and said from start to finish our tactics and line-up have worked? Mexico plays a formation that suits them, we try to play all these experimental positions. We are great at making adjustments during the game and at half. Not so much beginning the match.

Yeah he could have played on a mid table team for sure..

He could play for Tottenham, Swansea, and Southampton. Augsburg....plenty of clubs just outside top 4 in the big leagues.

It might not be the worst on the team, but it's definitely pretty bad.

Definitely. Cause in the last 5 years, those four clubs combined have had 21 different managers.

Sooo...

...which is a whole other question about European football.

Absolutely. I just wanted to show that the reason Bradley didn't reach higher heights in Europe was not because he had to deal with managerial changes, whereas the top clubs have stable managerial spots. Bradley was weened out of Roma because there were better players ahead of him.

At what point does rain come in to say that the only thing that matters is the first 30 minutes of a friendly?

Yes, agreed. But he or any US player certainly can't tie another player for quality, or he will lose the battle and sit.

MB played fairly well at Roma, if I recall correctly.
