Were you guys able to find a stream or were you just following a match tracker? I really wish this game would have been on TV. You'd think BeIn sports or WatchESPN would have had interest.

stream

They have to release them is on a FIFA Calendar. Clubs don't have a say in it.

If I'm not mistaken clubs DO have the option to release or not release overage players for the olympics. Given the olympic tournament is in August, the beginning of european football leagues and middle of MLS season, I can't image many quality overages are going to be released to any national teams, regardless if they go to copa america or not.
Maybe by then Tim Howard is a backup for Everton and they let him go as a friendly gesture, but that seems the only scenario for his or any similar players inclusion.

Goal scorers:

Morris
Rodriguez
Alashe
Joya
Alonso Hernandez

Dude This team is going to have one hell of an attack. The defense needs some hashing out, and the CM pairing needs to be hashed out, but this team is athletic, fast, and has good technicians.

Jordan Morris was unplayable at times.

Morris, Keiswetter, Rodriguez, and Shelton speed were making the Bosnia backline look like they were stuck in mud.

Did this team look better w/o Trapp?

Hmm, no. Towards the end of the first half and the beginning of the second half the midfield was getting a bit overrun and that was because they played in a diamond midfield with Joya being the DM. When they changed to a 4-2-3-1 bringing on Alashe to sit at DM they gained more possession.

I think right now Trapp and Alashe are clearly competing against each other. Then they should have a healthy Stanko by the Olympic qualifying tournament, and I would say he is your best pure DM in this pool.

Regardless this team has a high enough powered attack that they will score goals.

How did the chemistry look between Gil Joya, Rodriguez and Alonso Hernandez a couple years removed from their last get together?

Do you think the inclusion of Villarreal is eminent? desired? at this point?

I like seeing Joya at Dmid. Hopefully he embraces that deep distributing role and puts on some muscle. He has the temperament..runs a little hot and plays with a lot of heart. I think it's his only shot to stay in the picture in the nats program or MLS. He's a tweener, not fast or good enough to consistently make an impact wide or at attacking mid, but a really good player with vision. I wish he'd come back to SJ, but from what I understand the Mex club with his rights are asking too much for the transfer fee...too bad, he could pair with Alashe.

Yeah, DC was also interested but Santos wanted a $700k transfer fee when he only has 1.5 years left on his contract. That's DP level money just to land him and for that you better be sure of what you're getting. He was too inconsistent with the Fire to warrant that kind of fee.

US U-23's dropped a 1-0 result to Denmark U-23's today. Sounds like it a was a tightly contested game with the US unlucky to not score a couple of goals.
