i agree with you either way Doesn't it bother you even more to have all these non Born USA Soccer players playing for USA ???? I would be more bother about that.
And the worst part is that it will keep growing. I remember back in the 90's no one went to watch Mexico games here in USA.

I served in the US Army and was stationed overseas. Many of my fellow servicemen chose to have childred with German women. I did not have a child overseas. I can tell you that if I did and someone tried to tell me my child was not an American I would punch them in the face.

No it does not bother me that we have Americans playing for our national team.

Yet some people are bother that fans go for other national teams even though they are born here. Who cares that's their choice I mean some of my cousins that are born and raised here are Argentina fans other Brazil fans. I have friends that are Italy fans and their all born and raised here and some don't like the MNT at all. in fact most of those Mexicans born here despise the MNT and hate them with a passion does that mean they hate this country ?? No I doubt it just our soccer team. As for Mexican fans they will continue to outnumber us for a long time to come even if they are 3rd or 4th or even 5th generation here they will support Mexico well at least the majority. It is what it is can't do much about it.

Oh and going back to the Switzerland game they had 6 new starters than their previous euro cup qualifier game. So they weren't at full strenght to begin with.

I ask that everyone stop responding to this moron! I'm sick of his USMNT bashing. You show your ignorance every time you post. I wish there was a feature that lets a person ignore certain posters!

I never served, however, I agree 100% with your sentiments.

Some people on the forum to go and get a Citizenship booklet and go thru and pass the test.

It is a shame that they just rattle off garbage behind the veil of computer.

A kid born to a US Citizen is a US Citizen by birth, unless they renounce US Citizenship.

There's an article on goal.com about how Jozy's red was basically "the right move":

Dude got paid to write this article.

He made it seem like Jozy was fired up because of the team's poor play. He was pissed off at the ref and got tossed for it. This isn't going to fire up the team or make us go on a 10 game winning streak... Terrible article.

Yeah, I thought Friedel had a great game. There are intelligent ex-athletes out there. Never understood, why more of them are not announcers. I guess networks (and audiences??) select for how they look and how they sound (even if what they're saying is mindless drivel).

I think Zardes gets better every game he plays. Yes, agree that currently he is not good enough to be on the field, but I love the way his touch has improved over the last 24 months.

He's got a great attitude and you can see the results. Think if Adu & Altidore had the same attitude? It takes hard work and discipline to change from brick foot to getting a decent touch. Yeah, I know, he's still got a ways to go to being a good international, but I could see him continuing to improve and end up starting at the next WC.

Friedel is very intelligent and has great insight. What I'm afraid of is him becoming too comfortable and then too opinionated for our tastes. This is indeed the pot calling the kettle out, I'm aware.

Also, how much do you have to be exposed to the dialect and accent for you to start picking it up? Was this a conscious thing with him? I know sometimes we do it, when we are actively trying to immerse ourselves in the culture. Which in that respect, awesome man.

I wonder if he married a British lady.

Don't think he married a Brit, but he's been there for, what, 20+ years now. More than enough time to pick up the accent. And you'd have to think a keeper is/should pick up the accent quick. He spends every day yelling at people for hours - he better be doing it in their language if he wants them to follow.

And I'll take the opinions as long as their not too crazy, in your face, and solipsistic (had to get that one in, Dolcem) like Lalas tends to do.

I bet if the stadium employees started asking for valid ID (Green Cards, stamped visas, etc)upon entry, there would be a considerable less amount of El Tri fans in any US stadium.
