I recorded the Houston vs Orlando match on UniMas SD which made it pretty much unwatchable. I switched to UniMas HD in the 65th minute and seems like I didn't miss much.

Got home just in time to see Tyler Deric do his best Andrew Dykstra impersonation.

Brek Shea looking the part at LB. Two very good games in a row. I have him overtaking Garza at starter for the Nats. Shea is just more athletic, and his defending is increasingly getting better.

I agree he looked solid tonight. Very tidy and assured when defending and clearing the ball. His height defending long balls and crosses doesn't hurt either. I've always been a Brek Shea fan- his cockiness, arrogance or whatever you want to call it is something that the USMNT could use provided he is on the same page with teammates. "Swaggy B"

Being able to get in the attack is what Jurgs wants also. Keep it up Shea-baby. We'll see how he holds up against actual players with talent in the gold cup. Mexico/ Costa Rica will be able to cause him stress and we'll see how he does then.

Are you serious ??? I would take a 50% Garza over Shea. The man will be a disaster at LB who cares if he goes up we saw what happened vs a B/C Chile team. Just imagine a good team yikes it will be like a horror movie specially if Jones is at CB. I have easily 5+ LB's in MLS over Shea right now that are better DEFENDERS.

Direct Kick is a free preview again this weekend. I don't know why these sports packages think they can charge top dollar and then not broadcast in HD. Why would anybody buy Direct Kick over MLS Live these days?

Name the 5. And no Robbie Rogers is not better. So five other ones- and no Beasley either he retired. Improvement is a quality people can have...

Assuming he keeps it up he'll have to be in the conversation but Garza has been so solid for Tijuana this season. Garza might not be as athletic as Shea but for my money he is a better defender, and is a more technical player. Shea, like you said is still learning the ropes and working on his understanding of the position.

Yeah I am serious. Stop being hyperbolic. Shea just shut down Boniek Garcia last night. Arguably one of the best RW attackers in CONCACAF.

Shea not only played LB for the first time against Chile but played in a 3-5-2. Jeebus. It's like.

Man it's going to be funny when you start saying Shea should be the starter at LB in a few months.

Boniek is good but Garza has shut down players way better than him in the MX. Yes Shea is more athletic but I'd take Garza over Shea also. Garza's passing and crossing is better.

Nope, MLS has a deal with UniMas for a Friday game and ESPN and FS1 for Sunday doubleheaders each week. I love the standard schedule but wish either FS1 or ESPN had a game on Saturday so we'd have one game on each day of the weekend.

Direct Kick is on free preview this weekend. I have the Fire on at the moment.

I have seen Garza struggle mightily with quick wingers in Liga MX. I like Garza, but I am not completely sold on him yet. But it's finely nice to have two relatively young and talented left footed LB's going forward though.

Anyways. It seems the early part of MLS is pretty much unpredictable.

Seattle losing 3-1 to 10 man San Jose at home.
